1) this is the good trick for Vista and Xp
1 vista is a sexy because of its new glass transparency effect
here is how to enable and disable this new eye candy
1) click the control panel
2)Double click appearence and personalisation
3) under personalisation click Change the color scheme
4) In the appearence Setting dialog box. click WINDOWS VISTA BASIC and the click OK
or if you prefer a windows 2000 style interface, click Windows Standard and then click ok

hide ur folder never known trick.....
rename any folder with extension {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
eg,
if you have a folder games
press F2,
then type "games.{"645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"
see the magic
then 2 get to original form,
remove the extension using
"ren games.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}games" in dos or as a bat file
and you are done...........

well i think the basic thing with vista is that the core thing is slow to respond there lies the problem
even the service pack does not make a difference but yes the new version that is windows 7 is very nice and works very fast. i am very with its performance.
