Travel in times of recession

I won´t have vacations this year as I´m still paying for my wonderful second vacations I had last January. I´ll be paying until November (I do it with the money I earn online) and I think that if I want to go anywhere it will have to be very close to home.

My mom and I want to take a vacation next summer, our friend recommended Cozumel, Mexico as a nice, inexpensive place to go. Airfare is super cheap to get there, and then of course the USD - Peso exchange rate is great.

It might be helpful to look at exchange rates and visit places that have favorable rate of exchange at the moment. It can be economical to stay in backpacker hostels and go camping in a tent. Some countries are cheaper to travel in than others like Eastern Europe can have many bargains. I had a very economical trip to Bulgaria and Romania. I had another superb trip that wasn't expensive to Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia. India is meant to be cheap to travel around. I found Indonesia to be the cheapest country to travel in of all. Guatemala is incredibly cheap to travel in.

I think camping is the cheapest vacation. A camp site would be rented for 20-40 dollars a night and they are campsites everywhere so gas price is also not a big issue. That would be where I would go during to spend vacation since the economy is pretty bad

I think this is the best time to visit local destinations. This way, we are fueling local economy by spending domestically. Also, it is time to rediscover your own place - its wonders and beauty. We can share our own place to everyone by discovering what we can offer. Great day!
