Text Messaging? Or Calling?

Do you prefer to text people? or call or them? How about vice-versa...Would you prefer they call, or text first? Is texting too impersonal? Why do you prefer one over the other?

I'd rather call someone & talk to them in person than text message someone. I don't even like e-mails. I do have to use them for mainly work purpose & few of my buddies do text messages a lot so I do get'em outside of work but I really don't like'em.

I am old school. I would prefer to call and have a conversation. I could say all that I wanted to say. I leave texting for the new comers of the world. Their finger must hurt. I would not be able to keep up with the conversation. The thing that bothers me about texting is what happen if you send it to someone accidently

I prefer calling because it's faster and more direct. But I have to send more text messages. One reason is calling more expensive than text message. Secondly, lots of my friends prefer text message. Sometimes they had missed my call at once, then I received the text messages later, such as "what's the matter?" or "Yes?" So what can I do? Just reply by text message.

Hey, I actually prefer text messaging mainly because it is a lot faster than typing in someones number, waiting for them to answer, then talk to them. A text is a quick few second thing, and it is done, not to mention it is much cheaper. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

Hi there, well i dont use cellphone more often so i guess texting is enough for me. You can see me chatting everyday but not using mobile phone. Its money wisely if i just text my families and friends because i dont do it more often. If ever i use my cellphone to call somebody this is only an important call, anyway keep on mylotting

It kinda depends on what I need. Typically I text people because it's faster and easier! If I want to have an actual conversation with someone or talk about multiple things then I'll give the person a call. I find texting to be my contact of choice. It takes less time and you can text someone at a time where you might not be able to actually call them. Multitasking!

I agree. You can do multiple things at once, without having to actually carry on a conversation, whereas on the phone, if you're doing other things, every five or ten minutes is like "uuuhh...hang on a second" or you're just so busy you get too frustrated to think about what you and the other person are talking about. I really only call people when I'm bored and feel like chatting :)

I prefer to text myself, and I usualy use text speak. But, if I know someone, like of the "The Boys" and we are planning on goin out, then I will ring or they ring me.

It depends on the message you want to give.If your message needs sending pictures and images along with text i perfer SMS else just need to have a plain conversation i perfer calling.Another thing is if you want urgent and private conversation and immediate reply calling is best option. Sms is ideal if you think the person is busy and not able to handle your calls.Lot of things can be considered dependng the situation

I would rather call, as I don't text at all. I have never texted, and I probably won't either unless I text my grandson, who is 14. He tests all the time, but being a teenager, he would text. I think calls are far more personal than texting. At least with calling, I can say I want to say, whereas texting, it would be real easy to forget some things. I guess being a greandmother, I just never thought about texting. It really doesn't impress me all that much. Have a great day, and happy mylotting.

i prefer calling than messaging. but if it is not too important or the people dont have the time to contact with me, i will just message them.
