Michael Jackson as to all people say that he's a legend. Well actually I really think he is, cause he's unique and he's the only "Michael Jackson". People adore him, inspired by him and he's an influential person or shall I say artist, and definitely one of a kind. I notice him when I was in HS, I have mentioned this back in my previous discussion and the first time I heard Michael passed away, I couldn't believe it, and so for the others, whether you are a fan or not.. I didn't cry at first, because it didn't sink in to me yet, not until I realized he's really is dead when I heard saw the news on TV and all over the internet.. Then that's time I cry.. I cried because I don't want him to die and I know there's so much he could share, although I know God has his own plan for him for the better and I trust Him for that. Michael is now in a good place and it's already his time and he already did his part, he have done so much share to us and I thank him so much for it, cause he's inspires me everyday.. My dream is to see him in person, which I'm hoping before, but this won't be possible anymore, however, I think I'll be able to see him on the other world, wherever it will be.. And in the right time, hopefully not soon.

Yes because he was such a very talented man. He made music a partner of all peoples' lives.. Most performers we have right now looked up to MIKE. He made a big impression and influenced people. Very few people in the world can do that. I cried really....really really hard. Hope he is doing concert wherever he is now.

No, I didn't cry. I felt a little sad because he was so young and I've enjoyed his music for years. Mostly the bubble-gum stuff when he was young, handsome and hadn't gotten acquainted with plastic surgeons. But he had some really good music! He was a tormented soul with a monster for a father. I'm glad he's found peace. I don't excuse the things he may have done in his life that have never been proven but he was really messed up by his dad and early fame. I cry for my friends and relatives. Mr. Jackson was an enjoyable part of a portion of life but I felt nothing for him other than a brief sadness.

why would you cry? You did not really know him personally and he certainly did not know you. Certainly being sad is appropriate in losing a talented musical genius, in spite of his personal faults.

This is a nice discussion and it is sweet what so many people have said. I did not cry for Micheal Jackson. He had a rough rough life, from the get go and I can only hope that he is in a more calm and peaceful place. I cannot deny his genius and his effect on the world, but I feel that he was not happy and maybe he can be now.

There will alwways be people who are exceptional in what they do and he was. I guess the thing that made me sad was the memories that went with his songs all through the years. You can also fall a little bit in love with people who you admire - remember that too.

What you just said was actually quite touching. :'( I didn't actually cry like shed tears, but I felt so sad I was close to tears. I thought he was an extremely interesting person, and I really wanted to talk to him.

I am a fan of Michaels since I was thirteen. I was only two years older than him when I first saw him perform on TV. So when it was announced that Michael passed away I cried and I cried for days. In fact writing this now tears are in my eyes because its so hard for me to accept that this has happened. Aside from him being a great talent I think he was a beautiful person inside that most people didn't see or want to see. He had a heart of gold and did so much for people all over the world. He will be greatly missed and I too hope to see him in my next life whenever that may be.

I didnt cry for Michael Jackson. I am too old to be doing that. But I did cry for Lady Di. I feel celebrities and famous people have a very tough life. They are under constant scrutiny. Every mistake they make is a money spinner for the scribes and others. Nobody leaves that opportunity. That does not mean that I believe that the mistakes Michael Jackson committed in his life are to be be shrugged. No. But I feel there are plenty of us who have committed some wrong or other and got away with it. What is commendable about Michael Jackson is that he used his plus points to overcome his sad past. I guess we wont remember him as a sickly frail person with some dementia or parkinsons. That at least is a blessing in disguise.

I did not cry because maybe I was not a really fanatic fan of MJ but I think a lot of people was influenced by him and because of his popular songs and moves. He is just another human and he is just a popular person because of media. But his songs are really catchy and he has dance moves that is very original and I will say that his memory can stay for a long time like other good artists.
