i for one will never be tired of talking about animals or pets.
my dog once ate a sock then discharge it out of her the next day.of course this sock had to be thrown away. and sometimes she eats grass, but i know why--when she does it, she's got something to vomit out.and that's quite correct of my dog.

having a small dog like mine is even scarier. big dogs can eat stuff like that and it pass thru, but my dogs dumb about some of the things she should know wont pass thru

This was an interesting link. I don't know why they eat things such as this.
My pup doesn't do anything like this, but she does love her treats. The vet has us giving her soft peppermint balls for her doggy breath. She can hear the package rumple and runs to my feet in an instant.

My grandparents always said that dogs eat grass because their stomach is upset and when they vomit shortly afterward it makes them feel better. Sure enough, eating grass usually results in voiding the stomach contents! I'm pretty sure that's why they eat grass. My dog's vet told me that when dogs eat poop, they are missing some vitamins.

Their digestive systems are different from ours and they have different instincts also. Animal discussions are great! Anyone that doesn't like animals has something wrong with them.

I have a interesting story about dogs. Dogs often chew heard bones. You may observe in the morning a dog was chewing a bone.In the afternoon you will see the dog is chewing the same bone. But there is no meat in the bone. Do you know why the dog do that? Perhaps you don't know. By chewing heard bone blood comes from the dogs mouth and he suck his own blood. He thinks the blood is coming out from that bone.

Dogs are always curious to catch up on moving things whether it be a bug,a ball, a flying paper or even follow smells and sounds.Dogs have the ability to distinguish between good and bad so there's no problem if it catches strange things,it would verify it before actually biting it.It hold in between its paws and lets a creature go and again catch it,playing with them is their part time hobby.

actually, im not sure of that. i've seen mine bite a bug and let go of it, but i worry so much i usually yell, spite that out at her and she does.

Hello That was very informative, its so sad that so many animals die by accident but thats just what they are accidents its so very weird that so many things that we can eat with no problem are so very bad for animales i really didnt know that grapes where posinous. I had a dog when i was young that would catch grapes and he loved them and he lived forever. oh well the universe is a weird place.

yes i really dont understand the grapes thing. growing up i knew a dog on my aunts farm that everyone was so amazed because it ate every fruit and vegetable it could get we had to keep him out of the garden!
