Is redistribution of wealth theft? Over 2/3's of the current federal budget is taken from one citizen and given to another. What right does one man have to the property of another? If I am walking down the street and someone puts a gun to my head and says,"Give me a hundred dollars" he is redistributing wealth from me to him. The only difference between what the thief did and Congress is the issue of legality. Of course it's our fault for electing these politicians to Congress in the first place. One of the ten commandments is thou shall not steal. Slavery is wrong for the same reason. Slavery is simply taking the fruits of some one's labor unfairly. I was curious how many of us are for thief and slavery? Please don't try to say I'm a racist, these concepts are not mine. They are from Dr Walter E Williams a black economist. You can watch video's with him at YouTube.

Carson, how much of that 2/3 is being sent to corporations? I know from my research that many corporations receive huge amounts of taxpayer dollars because they have very good friends in congress (big oil comes to mind, where do you think that $18 billion dollars came from? The tooth fairy?).
I don't care what Dr. Walter Williams says, there was more to slavery than taking their fruits. There was alot of taking of lives as well, and taking of human dignity. I don't think you are a racist, I think you are many things I can't say on here (well besides stalker), but a racist you are not.

thegreatdebater, Like your friend Warren Buffet. Did you already forget my reply to you about how he owns stock in 8 financial stocks that got bailout money including Goldman Sachs and GE. Obviously their was more to slavery than that. I was trying to make a point but I guess your left wing bias kicked in. 18 Billion in a 3.7 TRILLION dollar budget?? Are you kidding ME??? I'm talking about Social Security,Medicaid,Medicare,Welfare,Farm Subsidies,HUD etc. Even if BIG OIL gets my money,do you think I want an oil company recieving my tax dollars?? I don't care who they give it to, it is wrong and you are wrong.

Stalker, How much in taxpayer dollars does Warren Buffet personally get? How much is Berkshire given in tax breaks to do business? Just because he invested in corporations that received bailout money doesn't make it wrong, that just makes him smart.
Are you saying that we SHOULD give corporations that made $120 BILLION in profits last year off of the American people another $18 BILLION? Are you delusional? So you are saying that it is fine to give big oil $18 BILLION for NOTHING at all, because we spend billions on all of these other programs?
By the way, do you know what city the top farm subsides recepiants live? Lets see how good you are at research my little Stalker.

All taxation that is not based on consumption is theft. Taking 30+% of your income before you get your check is theft. Paying property taxes because if you do not government is going to seize your property.
I have used this analogy before but I believe you might like it. Let say you make a thousand dollars every time you receive a paycheck. This time you only received $600. You know you work all your hours, so you question your boss. Your boss says, "The company has better use for the money". Your boss sets you down and explain by taking a potion of everyone's check the company can afford to make purchases that the board of director find necessary. Now I am sure everyone would be outraged. So why not when government does it?
