Can someone here tell me where I could go to find out what motherboard I have and if it will support the graphics card. I have the money to buy this card and my PC will run all games perfect except for my video card, so I need to replace it. Anyone help?

i have got a gigabyte "ga g31-s2l motherboard which has 1 pci express 16x slot running at 16x. this motherboard will fit your 9800gt into it and will giv you the best graphics possible. but mind you the pci express slot is not a pci express 2.0 slot its the 1.0 version but will be able to play your card there wont be much of a diff in quality either. i have a msi geforce 8500gt 512mb, this card suxx though but is good enough to play all games at medium low settings.

If you want to find it out for your self, try googling SIW (system information for window) and download it. With this you can get every thing you need to know about your system without opening the hood. Your Motherboard brand, video slot, memory type and occupied slots. Its very simple to use very much like your window explorer and its free.
