I invest in both markets - the stock market and the forex market. I also invest in real estate. The markets you're talking about are completely different markets dealing with very different securities. If you intend to invest in any market, then it's wise to research and understand how that market works or you'll surely lose money.
I find the forex market is easier to make more consistent profits as you're able to profit whether the market is going up or down.
The stock market is a little different and I'm not interested in day trading. I invest for the dividend yield, so even though the values have gone down, the dividend income remains a decent investment for my money.

Hi there my brother has invested quite a bit of money in stocks and has been very successful at making a profit so I've learnt a lot from him. He has also experimented with forex and I sighned up on a site for a demo account to see what its all about and from what I can gather from mine and my brothers experience is you have a bit more control and less of a chance of lossing big ammounts of money in stocks but that might not be the same for everbody, why not invest a small ammount in both and see which comes out more profitable?
Good Luck :)
