Should adult children adopt an attitude of gratitude towards their parents? Isn't the birth of a child & its growing up a natural process? Why do some parents expect their children to show gratitude for all that they gave them? As a parent I don't think our children should be thankful to us for whatever we have done to them. It's the parents who wish to have children so it's their duty to give them education, food & shelter, & other basic necessities & bring them up as good human beings....If the parents are successful in bringing up their children, children naturally become attached with love, & gratitude towards parents.

You are right.Parents decide to bring kids into this earth and they enjoy their presence and they are responsible to bring them up in life.Expecting thanks and gratitude is somewhat ugly. But think it in this way. There are parents in this world who care for their joy alone and don't care for their kids.Considering them,if you had a caring parent you have to be grateful and thankful towards them.Cheers!
