Hi friends. I just wonder if u are self-conscious like me? But not really all of the times im like that. There are just days that im so conscious of what im wearing and behaving. U think is insecurities made u feel self-conscious or is it the people around u made u feel that way?

I am literally self-concious about almost everything in my life and everything about myself. I hate to admit it, but my mother was this way because she was disabled and was in a wheel chair for a while, and she was ashamed of who she was and what it was doing to her, and now I am that way. I am mostly self concious about my physical appearance, almost at all times. It sucks! I hate feeling this way, but I just can't help it. I am always also self concious about the way I say things towards others or how I act around them, because I hate having anyone upset or mad at me. I don't like this feature about myself but sometimes it can be good.

I am also like you, I am at times confident with how I look and sometimes I am so insecure on how I look. But I always try to overcome it by being positive. I try many times to tell myself that I am fine and that every insecurities I feel is only in my mind. And most of the times, it helps.

me too.. i m always self conscious.. i cant stop it.. whenever i talk, laugh, dress, sing.. all the time i m self conscious. i hate that about myself. initially it was people around me who made me feel that way.. but i started being self conscious.. because people kept commenting on me for whatever i say or do.. quiet annoying!

I am very self conscious these days. maybe its because everyone is being noticed by how they look and dress. i also try and keep my laughing and talking low.. so dont go too high.. people stare at me when i do. well.. i guess its some people who decide to be self conscious like myself. i dont see it as a bad thing though.
My final opinion is, people are self conscious because of the media. All the people are looking fabulous, so it makes you think like you have to be like these people.

No its not a bad thing to be self-conscious but it takes ur personality away sometimes. I like to be myself all the time...i feel self-conscious with strangers most of the times. And i agree with u its because of media.
