yes, I said that because Now Malaysia claim Pendet Dance to be their own. This event not one time like this, Malaysia already claiming and patent several time our (Indonesia) traditional culture; such as 'Reog Ponorogo' , Batik, etc.. (You can see the fact in wikipedia, who is have that culture), Why They doing like that ?
Whether Indonesia not patenting the Indonesian culture ? or any reason ?
Although International people known the fact, but Malaysia not shy to claimed

Yup, I think They are don't have sense of shame because they feel higher , better about economic than Indonesia.
In psychology, that's can call a Megalomania ! (feel bigger, higher and better than the other).
and I agree to stop sending TKI to Malaysia.

I also agree if Indonesia Government not sending TKI again to Malaysia. Especially TKI isn't have skill. I have dream, Only TKI with skill and license can work on foreign country !!
If all of TKI know about their rights, so they will not received harassment and violations of human rights.

There are more countries claiming some culture dance eventhough that dance is not originated by them, maybe they should claimed it because the time that dance is created or the dance is already boom in their country.
before it was be claimed there is a lot of processing needed to be done and the involved countries need of the approval of their ministers.
So if That's happen let them be to be with them.

Well, i guess that happens everywhere, and malaysia is claiming that, because it's a country rich in muslim values too, like indonesia.. THus, they seem it as something right, and ok to do it, since no much ple value tradition now..
However, they are so wrong to be stealing it from your rightful country.. Maybe malaysia is just jealous, as they have nothing to be proud of, only messy states around the country with stupid elections going on.. lol =D

you know, this happened not just once, but several times. I thought, Malaysia feel more powerful and strong from Indonesia, so they feel powerful and cocky and haphazard Indonesia recognize property rights.

Hi Srikandi
Sad to hear that.. I wonder what Malaysians will say here.. Just wanna know, maybe there's certain reason, or maybe they feel shy too but they can do nothing?
Sometimes I think how can Malaysia claimed that.. It's already clear, they are all Indonesian culture. Seems like we need to patent everything because our neighbor will claim it if we don't patent all of our culture as soon as possible
No offense to all Malysians here, I just type my opinion and curiosity of this matter.
Since we busy with election, seems like that moment used by irresponsible people to steal our culture and make two country's relationship getting worse.
Hope international community know the true fact!

I think Malaysia doesn't have any traditional culture so that's why they steal the nearest malay country's culture. I have been sometimes in Malaysia and i found nothing about their own traditional culture. Although they have, that's not something special and great. Just common culture. I think the patent regulation should be revision. Indonesia has a long story about their culture and Indonesian can prove it. But since the Indonesia government is busy with the election result and crisis, so they don't have any time to pay any attention to protect their national cultures. This is a serious problem. One by one, Indonesian traditional culture is stolen. Hope this problem will be fine soon. Happy mylotting.
