Does anyone like to shop at thrift stores? I sure do! I have been shopping at thrift stores all my life and through the years have gotten some great bargains! My mother used to take me when I was a child they have gotten a lot better over the years . I have been able to practically furnish my entire home from the dining room basement living room family room ect.. from going to places like Goodwill Industries, and Salvation Army they have really nice things there some things are just like new and you pay only a fraction of the cost if you bought it new and a lot of things are from places like Pier 1 JCpenny Sears,Lazy Boyect.. it still surprises me what people donate these days its especially good around the holidays for tax credit purposes people around here really unload all their unwanted items. I got a Lazy Boy love seat in mint condition for $40.00 among a lot of other great bargains (to many to list here) but the secret of course is you gotta go almost daily to get first dibs you just never know what they will have from one day to the next sometimes they have a lot of great things sometimes they have nothing I want.

we don't have thrift stores here like that. we have stores that sells used stuff but not as good condition as you mention in your place. mostly they are shirts and jeans and shoes and no furniture in local thrift store here. and they don't come cheap sometimes the price are quite expensive. imagine they shirts for $3. that is used shirts. when i can also a brand new shirt on that price. so where or what i will buy. of course i will buy the brand new item. thrift store here are just crap.

Sometimes, I go into thrift stores and find some great buys. Last time I went I found 6 pairs of shoes which looked brand new and they were $2.00 a piece and most of them were nine west which retails way over that so I was happy!
I try to hit up thrift stores every 2-3 months just to see what they got. I even bought a pair of brand name jeans and they still had the original tags in place so it was new!!!

I've never really been a thrift store shopper. The main reason being that our thrift stores in the small area I grew up in were always JUNK. They were very small and most of the stuff in them were very old and worn out things. Now a days I hear thrift stores are a lot better. I've moved to a bigger area too - I should check the big one in our town out!

I do not shop at thrift stores. I don't like the idea of wearing other people clothes. Now I do think they have changed a bit. I see they now have furnitures and toys. I think I would give them a second chance now. Being in a recession I think I might have to look at them again. They do have some quality things. I also have a problem. They say the money goes to charity. How do they pay their employees.
