I still remember when I saw the musical on stage. It was late May, and my stepdad and I took a trip to Vancouver to do some sightseeing. One of the things we did was going to see the musical "Flower Drum Song." From the first song, I was hooked! I love everything Chinese and Japanese, so a musical about Chinese immigrants was definitely my cup of tea! After seeing it on stage, I was instantly obsessed with it. I finally bought the DVD when I got back to the States, and I fell in love with it. Nancy Kwan was really sexy as Linda Low, and Juanita Hall was adorable as Madame Liang. I've seen that movie probably 5 times since I bought it. I'm surprised at how little it's known. I thought since it's a Rogers and Hammerstein piece, it would be more recognized. I hope it will come on stage again, because really there's nothing like seeing it live.

I agree, more people should know about Flower Drum Song!
Personally, I never actually saw it on broadway, but we did the musical for my high school musical and I really liked it. The songs were catchy, the plot was good, and there were a lot of funny moments. The opening song is definitely one of my favorites, but I also like Love Look Away and Like a God.
