Ever been on a blind date? How did it go?

A few years ago my friend asked me to go on a date with her, her b/f and another guy who she said was her b/f's best friend. She said her b/f told her that this guy was good looking and a gentleman. After some persuasion I agreed to go. When I met the guy I knew that it would never work out! He was not my type at all. He was dressed nicely and while we were all together he was the perfect gentleman. However when my friend and her b/f split with us to go somewhere alone, he suggested we go to a bar that he knew of for a drink. I went along with him and soon realized that he wanted to ply me with drinks an get me intoxicated. I changed my drink to tonic water and orange juice to be on the safe side. He attempted to get me to go to his place but I refused and said I wanted to go home as I had to get up early. While saying goodnight he tried to kiss me and I allowed him a very brief kiss but he fondled my breast as he did so. That was it! I pushed his hand away and said good night and left him standing there. I told my friend all about it and said NEVER ask me to go on a blind date again!

What did your friend say when you told her what happened? Had she even met this friend of her b/f before that evening? It just seems to me your friend was more concerned with doing her b/f a favor than with setting you up with a nice guy.

She was very surprised as it was a friend of her b/f. Apparently my friend had spoken about me to her b/f and I think he told his friend about me. His friend asked him to set up a date for the four of us. Anyway, she was very apologetic and I understand that she told her b/f what happened.

Did your friend or her bf at least try to make it up to you? Did the bf apologize or offer any explanation for his friend's behavior?
