My friend have problem with her hair. It's curly and she hate it. She have tried different styles that she saw in magazines or on Television, she even dyed it once. But none of the style suited her. Several times she tried to cut her own hair out of frustration.
Should she have hair straightened?

Of course she can have it straighted.. NOthing is impossible.. BUt ther's no way she can do it on her own, and she needs to visit a saloon for that, let the professionals do it for her.. THough it will be quite expensive, but it will be worht the effort.. However, the effect will not last long unless she keeps going back for it.. hehe ^_^
If not, she can try some hair straightening products to maintain it, after treatment from saloons.. hehe

Some people are going to tell you to have her get her hair relaxed but I've found out it really doesn't straighten it completely and it can really damage your hair if done wrong. I know I have curly hair that is layer and just poofy when a ton of volume and for me I just put it up in a half ponytail/bun type deal when curly and then I straighten it otherwise. For me it takes 40 minutes to straighten it each night but I don't wash my hair everyday either so its not that bad. You shouldn't be washing your hair every day anyways since it ruins it more. So if she wants to straighten tell her just to straighten it everyday and get a conditioner for moisturizing and then get a leave in conditioner as well.

Yes. I think she should try to have it straightened. there are alot more styles she can wear if she does that. she may be happier with it also. I would tell her to give it a try and see if it pleases her.

Hi!!
Maybe your friend is not confident by her look because of her hair, tell her to learned to love her own self, its God's Gift.
If she like a fashion maybe she try something else, i much prefer in hair rebonding that in hair straightening because hair straightening can cause damage to our scalp also to our hair but in rebonding this is harmless eventhough this is more expensive but i will assure you she got her good look.
My hair is rebonded and it will last for a year, not like straightening it will only last for a month.
So Save your money now and get your hair be rebonded.
Goodluck & Happy mylotting

I have curly hair too... and trust me it is a pain in the u know what... But there is a good side to having it... I get this stuff called curl lock from best cuts it takes down the frizz and make it look like i have nice curls.... alot of people like it when I do that... Now on her staighten it the best thing to use is a maxi glide it is the best ever... no frizz and after I flatten it with that no one even knows i have curly hair... If she is think about going to a salon and havin it pro straighted with like kemicals please try to talk her out of it because that is only a short term fix.. and then it will be worst then it is now... I feel her pain but she needs to look at it like she has the best of both worlds.. Not many girls get both..

I think you can actually go to a salon and have it "relaxed", which essentially straightens it for a long period of time. I've known quite a few people who do that. Straightening your hair with an iron every day.. isn't too good. It takes about an hour for me to fully straighten my hair, and it's a pain - because it really damages your hair (Applying heat of ANY kind does, though). I think your friend could try going to a salon and seeing what they could do with it. It might get expensive, but I'm sure it would keep it semi-straight for at least a month or two. It's worth a shot!
