Hello everyone...
Are you a nationalist or a patriot?..
Well, i'm just wondering in what category you belong...
In school, we just discussed the difference of nationalism and patriotism...and i learned that in nationalism, you love your country whatever it takes or you love your country and everything in it...while patriotism is that you love your country but not everything inside of it...
For example, I can call myself as a patriot, because I love my country, Philippines, but I don't love our government and some systems in here...
So, how about you?
Have a nice day!
Happy mylotting!

I guess I fall in to the patriot catagory. I love this country and most things about it, icluding the system of government that was established, but hate the cancer that has taken over that system and perversed and twisted it. I have deep contempt for the people running that system and for what they have done to it.

Hello there...
Its good to hear that you love your country and they're doing great...
but you're right, in every system that we have, we can't avoid that there will be someone who will destroy the system, just like a black sheep in the family..
Well, thanks for the response and have a nice day!

For me the difference between these two words is that nationalism refers to the nationality, which means the ethnicity of someone, no matter what country you live in. Patriotism refers to your feelings which you have for your country and everything that it represents, when the nationality of the people who live in a particular country doesn't matter.
I consider myself nationalist, because I love my nation, and the land where I am living on. Because I cannot call myself a patriot, because the part of the country where I live on belonged a cca. 1000 years to Hungary, and from 90 years to Romania. I am a Hungarian and I am very proud of my nation, which is the Hungarian one and I cannot be proud of the country I live in because I don't consider that it is a legit one. Because Transylvania has to be a part of Hungary and not of Romania, in my opinion. Hope it is clear what I am trying to say.
