I think probably my favourite soup is potato and leek and celery, it just has the comfort value of it really. But I really don't like soups out of a can, I hate how they make something healthy into something not that healthy! I prefer making them myself.

Hi cindyhxf, I love fish soup and our way of serving it is a little different as once it's cooked the fish is taken out and served separatley on a plate and the soup goes in the bowl. The recipe is simply fish, carrots, celery, potatoes and seasoning. The soup of course retains all the flavour of the fish and lots of fresh lemon is squeezed into it.

My wife's vegetable soup made with real chicken stock, potatoes, carrots, beans, onions, etc is just fantastic.
She makes three meals out of one chicken and then renders down the remains into a stock and makes a big pot of soup that lasts us for three days at least, topping up with some water to replace the moisture boiled off.
I have spent some big money for soup in restaurants which don't come close in taste and quality to mother's soup.

Hi Cindy!
For me too, it is chicken soup with some shredded pieces of chiken in it. It gives you an awesome taste and it is very delicious and healthy. However, we prefer to take chicken soup, when the weather is cold and chilly. In summers, we avoid taking it because in summers one feels like taking cold drinks.

I used to love tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich as a child. Now tomatoes, esp. in soups and sauces make me very, very ill.

My favourite soup is chicken one too. I like just having the soap without eat the meat.
My general way is to wash the chicken first then put it into pan with cold water. When the water boils I turn down the power to very small one. Then I may need 3 or hour hours to cook slowly the chicken. When it’s almost done I put a little salt and white pepper. That’s all. I also put some herbs sometimes.
