what would you do if you child had done this to another.

have a read of this news article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1208345/Five-year-old-girl-battling-cancer-viciously-attacked-yobs-try-set-fire.html?ITO=1490 What would you do to your child realisticly if you knew they had done that or something similar, i have a 1 year old and i hope we are raising him well enough to know that this sort of thing is not normal and will not be accepted by anyone however if i knew he had done something like this i would march him down to the police station to admit what he had done to them and i would possibly be pressing for him to be given some kind of community service along with a verbal or written apology to the person he had hurt. It may seem a little stern on my part but i simply don't think things like this should go unpunished and it should be a humiliating experience for them so as to detur them from doing it again. so what would you do if your child had done this?
