If I witnessed a murder I would call the cops. I would tell the cops what I saw. I would also try to give as much detail as I possible could to catch the suspect. I would try be as helpful as I possible could. It's a shame for someone to be murdered. If I were murdered I would want the person that witnessed it to call the police. The more information the better. The family has every right to know everything that happened and the desciption of the person who did it. So to call the cops and report it is good for everyone. I know there is always that fear that the person who murdered someone saw you witness it. I would be scared in fear they come back after me but the right thing to do is report it.

As a law abiding citizen, I would also like to inform the police about the murder and also be an witness in the court. Unfortunately in India, the police are a bunch of crooks who are hand in glove with the gangsters and most of the Judiciary is corrupt. In India you can get away with day light murder if you are rich and powerful. Who knows, they might even try to put the blame on the witness. Some of the Indian Mylotters might not like, what I have mentioned, but you have to face the harsh realities in life in India. So it will be better to turn a blind eye to the crimes which you witness.

oh,it's a terrible thing, If i witnessed it,and if the murder didn't see me ,I thought i must call the plice right now.If he saw me there, the running maybe my fist action, at the same time, calling plice and my family. i am a timid girl,so fighting with murder isn't the right choice. beling clear-headed is the most important thing on this. the hero who go ahead in critical moment is our study example.but, acting as circumstance permit is also important!!

Firstly, I would call the cops and tell the truth that I saw. It is good for everyone to call the cops and give the correct report.

I would report it. I would call the police. The main reason I would do this is , that person that has been killed is someone's child, sibling, mother or father. I would want someone to report it if it was a loved one of mine. The killer needs to be exposed and accounted for their actions. Their is laws that can protect you when you are a witness to just a crime. Don't stand in the shadows.

Hi: For reasons I cannot reveal, the cops would be the last people I would report a murder to. Honestly, I wouldn't know what to do. I would try to contact someone in authority that I could trust or even give an anonymous call to a newspaper, although "anonymous" is not something I normally like. Its one thing to talk hypothetically about things like this, but its a different matter altogether when you are faced with the real thing. You have to think very carefully and act cautiously before you take a decision. Sometimes, evertything is not as it seems.

let us all be reasonable.. iam from india and the answer to this question is variable depending on where u are from. so having said dat i wud for five minutes sit and analyse wat i have jus witnesses. we are all young bloods .given! but wen u make up ur mind to do something it is not jus u who u are bringing into the picture .. it is ur family and gal friend if any into the scenario.if it was a gang murder say of rival gangs it is best not to get into it.u can really tell wat it is sometimes. in case it is vague atleast u might have and idea about the murderer and if u feel he is connected then it is best to not think twice about it. but if none of this is true then it is best to do wat u feel at dat moment. i wud probably pretend nothing happened if it was any of the above.well if somebody were trying to murder somebody whom i know to be gud of heart then the story will be totlly diferent.i wud do wat is necessary to help my friend and get the person responsible for it behind bars.otherwise i wud not risk it. realistically going to the police wud not achieve anything

I would call the police also. I would be a nervous wreck though. I would tell them what I saw also and tell them or describe to them who committed the murder also. I would try to stay anonymous so they would not know it was me who turned them in also.

If I saw a murder I think I would freak out...and of course I would call 911. But I think I would try to get to a safe place first before calling just incase like if it happens in an alley or something. Who knows what I would do when it happens, but I would definitely try to remember as many details as possible to give to the cops so then I can help out the most that I can.

To me it depends on what kind of murder if it is a hit by the mob i wouldnt even bother, but if it sjust a random act of violence where they just kill for heck of it im calling the cops thats just no good. God will punish the guilty in his way. I dont like to c people hurt or suffer.

Well, if you saw a murder and DON'T report it, I'm pretty sure that is a crime you can go to jail for. I would hope that ANYONE who sees a murder will call the police - it would be cruel not to (not to mention illegal)! My only concern would be for the murderers coming after me (if they saw me witnessing their crime) - but if they didn't know I was there, there wouldn't be any problem!

If you witnessed a murder you call the cops ? its really ? I think its not appropriate action because you can be the first to be suspect by cops. I am not be suspect, so I am prefer to wait and see.
