Did God Just Choose This One Solar System For Mankind?

If Earth is the only planet in our known Universe that can sustain human life, why are there billions of Suns out there? Are we alone in this Universe of ours? If so, don't you feel lonely amongst all the Solar Systems out there? Can we just be one lonely earth type planet? Are we that special?

I..really really doubt were alone in the Universe..i believed to the fact that there are other life forms out there. not known to us yet, not in public, anyways. these top secret government bases proves it,like area 51 and others.in the galaxy plane, were just part of those organics in these stars. don't worry these aliens will show up soon

Having a scientific mind, I think I have to agree with you on that one. I just want to know how the heck can they be so elusive! I can't imagine the tricks and technologies that we have not yet to discover!

we have that argument with my friends, but he insist the entire galaxy is our solar system but i told him that the solar system is only one star and several planets. thus, isolating it from other system. we just stop when people were looking at us

Wowzers, maybe your friend never took time to look up and stare at the stars before, or he fell asleep during science class.

Hi!
Special? Look at a news broadcast, and you'll see how special we are not.
I can't believe that we are all there is in the Universe. It's just so vast and varied, there would be little sense in God having put only this one planet together full of societies. I hope they're out there, anyway!

The photos from space are gorgeous! I really hope this planet isn't the only one inhabited. And I'd love to know if the populations of other planets are in better shape than we are - like peace and harmony!

I'm very sure that we aren't alone in the universe. I have seen ufo's, so I'm pretty convinced :)
Also it seems to me it's extremely unlikely that earth would be the only planet in existence with life on it. According to wikipedia, scientists think there are around 125 billion galaxies in the universe. If even 10% of sun-like stars have planets orbiting them, there are at least 6.25x10*18 solar systems. If even one billionth of those have planets capable of supporting life in them, there are at least 6.25 billion planets that could support life in the universe. I'm pretty sure that ours isn't the only planet with life on it.

Well, I'm with you on that, it's phenominal the amount of possibilties out there...I'm a good old catholic boy and if you look at the Vatican's articles from their science department, you can see that the Pope even beleives!
