Have you seen 'The Time Traveller's Wife'? (spoilers)

What did you think? When I went to see it I was really expecting to like it. I absolutely love time travel TV shows and films, examples being Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Doctor Who, Torchwood (When it uses it), Lost in Austen, Back to the Future 1-3 etc. When I did see it, I became bored and disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I'm a girl, but I found it incredibly cheesy and the death seemed very forced to try and make the audience cry (Which didn't work on me despite me always crying at films) despite it being based on a best selling book (Which I haven't read and the film has put me off even though I'm sure it is far better). I think it could have been a lot better than it was, the death could have been made a lot more surprising for example. I don't think it was a waste of money as I had a discount ticket so I'm not that bothered that I saw it. What did you think? Do you agree with me or did you really enjoy it?
