Racial discrimination exists still?

Recently I have finished TV dramma program everyone hates Christ,and I wonder whether the racial discrimination still exists and how we can solve it in a proper way. Or does it make any sense at all to discriminate others?Shouldn't we just respect others and treat others equally? Looking forward to your comments!
