Unbelievable Job Post

So, I was doing some job searching online when I noticed this one job post. It was someone asking for a nanny and while there's nothing wrong with that, it was the WAY they asked. They asked for a "God-fearing and loving woman" and later said "this individual must love God". This really irks me! Is someone who doesn't believe in God any less of a person just because they don't believe in God? Does that make them less trustworthy or something? What's up with that?? It's discrimination if you ask me! A religious person is not any better than a non-religious person just because they're religious!! Do you agree with me? If not, why don't you agree with me? What do you all think of this?

They're not asking for a father. They're a married couple asking for a nanny/babysitter. I agree that there are good and bad of EVERY kind of person out there. To assume that only religious people are good is not only wrong, but a very bad idea.

It could be that the child is a five year old girl and the parents want that the nanny tells the child religious stories. Knowledge of religious stories goes under qualification, woman goes with comfort issues. The job post should have been written differently that is for sure.

Maybe the person thought a non-religious person might unintentionally impose their non-religious beliefs on their child.
For example, the child might want to say a prayer before eating a snack or meal and the nanny might say "You can skip the prayer this time." For that parent, saying a prayer is very important to them, so they would want a nanny who has the same views.
I wouldn't say that they were thinking the person was less trustworthy or less of a person.
