I am going to lose my best friend! He is moving across the country to go to school. He's leaving this week. I know I'm going to be able to see him on the holidays when he comes home but I'm still upset. Why why why did he have to choose a school so far away???

It will be sad in the beginning only.I have this type of separations more as most of my good friends are living abroad now.But I have some more friend here in my town and so it is not a big problem for me.It is nice to enjoy what we have than to long for what we lack.Cheers!

I understand what you feel. I am also feel sad whenever a close friend leave me but I always think that she will be successful to the place she will be going. It really saddens me to think that life will not be the same without her but we have no choice in this life but to move on forward.

It happens to me all the time and you never get used to it. But you learn to live with it. When you are in school and your friends leave, you feel it very intensely. But when you grow up, you find separations taking place all the time, one way or another. You feel the loss, cry or mope over it and then get on with your life and be happy with the friends left or make new friends.
But nowadays, one thing we can be thankful for is the Internet, where you don't have to lose any of your friends. Because of the internet, we can now even find friends we have lost touch with, and come on, what's MyLot for? Why be sad at all?

I will really feel lonely and incomplete because i've with my bestfriend for almost 10 years now. We have gone through so many trials. Through thick and thin, she is always there by my side and same as i am always here for her. We started as just friends when we where just 1st grader and that friendship soon become a "sister"..We never leave each other. Even in school. WE both go at the same school now..That's why i will feel that way..

I would say, I have got used to it. I moved several times when I am overseas, I graduated from several schools. I made friends but the friendship doesnt last longer than my college mates.
I was sad, and be oneself is not easy, but friends are just part of our life, although they are important, very important.
