Hello guys sometimes we can't avoid to sleep some other places in some of our friends' houses. I know some people who could not sleep well if it would be their first time to sleep on that house or place. But there are some that they would never give a damn. Don't even care whenever they would sleep as long as they would feel safe. How about you can you easily sleep in some houses where that would be your first time?
Can you share your opinion about this?

I probably would stay up half the night. But as of right now I take sleep medication, so I would sleep just fine. Any other time, I really don't know.

I have bi-polar. Sometimes I want to stay awake all night for no reason.

Hello mobhomeir
I can sleep easier in new place! But of course, that place must be clean, safe and I'm not alone at that time. I think it's a nice experience, sleep in new place, like in luxurious hotel or in mountain area, or in my friend's house. It's safe, clean and I'm not alone. If I arrive in new place because I lost and need to spend night there, I won't sleep. So it depends on the situation
Sometimes I'm bored with my room or the situation where I'm sleep now, so sleep in a new place is a new experience for me!

When I was a child and into me adulthood, we traveled a lot; so strange beds and places don't bother me at all.

maybe i must say it depends. if i'm very tired, then i will fall asleep very easily. only if the place is safe to me. such as in good friends' houses, or in relatives' rooms, etc.
but i still must say it wont be as usual as in my own room. after all, it's new to me, i need time to get used to it.

I find it difficult to sleep soundly in a house I have just moved too. I prefer to get familiar with my surrounding before I can become comfortable. I listen to all the sounds and movement. I also observe the area keenly.

yes there are people who would not find it easy to sleep well in a new house but as far as I am concerned I would relish my sleep and shall sleep well
change or newness of the house does not bother me
Insomania is caused by too much activity of the brain which one has to learn to keep under control by doing meditation
I know of certain techniques which instill sleep
Just like TM

I think it will depend on just how tired you are. I can remember having trouble sleeping in a different place and then there were times when I had no trouble at all because I was really tired and fell off to sleep right away.

I can't say that I would have a good night's sleep at someone else's house because all I am thinking about is sleeping in my own comfortable bed. I've never stayed over anybody's house whose bed felt the same as mine. That's just me. But I have a daughter who does not care where she is, if she is tired, she will sleep over anybody's house as long as she is not disturbed. My other daughter is more like me and would rather be home.

I think I can't. I won't feel comfortable. I never tried though. Even going to house of somebody - a friend may be.. I don't feel comfortable. I will be so anxious, and won't act like I do normally.

Oh I see. Maybe you just said that because you never tried it yet. Have you not been before on your friend's house? A relative's house or wherever? A hotel or something?
I think you could only prove it you're right as soon as you tried it...prove it to your self that your feeling is wrong...thanks for responding..

I already have tried few times. And even if my friends invite me to their house, I usually don't go. And I'm not used to it, you know, going to others' homes, I feel like intruding their property or something.

on second day you become adjustable to the environment of that house but many people cannot feel so good as they can feel it at his or her home

I have moved to lots of new home in my lives around INDIA,like to Pune ,U.P,Kerala and other places with my family.New houses have become a common thing to me.When you hear rumors about the place or the house you have come to,then its a kind of weird feeling for some time until all your doubts are clarified. The night of the first day in new homes have been mostly comfortable,I know this sounds a little surprising but ye ,the reason may be because after moving the goods and arranging items one might feel tired and goes to bed with a tight sleep.

Well said my friend. I understand if you're really tired from the whole day's work or whatever that made you tired then there would be no reason why you can't sleep well. But, there are some people that could not sleep if they are too tired and that's my partner....thanks for responding my friend...

New houses are difficult to adjust to,many people feel a little dis appointed while some feel very excited on starting everything from scratch. It all depends on human nature, first time sleeping there could give hick ups because the room's changed and things are moved not as usual in the old house.

I can sleep just fine regardless of where I am, if I am tired. While I do prefer certain types of pillows (the more the better) when I'm tired i need to sleep, so give me a bed, and I can sleep just about anywhere.

Hello mobhomeir. I don't have any problem to sleep well in a new place. Each time when I live in a hotel on business or travel, I can sleep well unless I am bothered by someone sharing the same room snoring.

I am not a very good sleeper at the best of times but I am even worse if I am not in my own bed. I wake up several times during the night and have to get up some of those times to go to the bathroom or to go outside to get some fresh cool air because I am having a hot flash. So if I am not at home I don't feel comfortable getting up so many times during the night. I am afraid I will wake someone up.
I am okay if I am in a hotel room though. When my daughter and I went to Vegas in July I slept okay even though she was in the same room as me. But as far as sleeping at someone's house it is just too difficult although sometimes I don't have a choice. When I go to my ex-sister-in-laws in Edmonton I usually spend two nights there and it isn't too bad because I sleep in the basement bedroom and I have a washroom to myself so I don't wake anyone up.

No!I can't sleep in a new or strange place at ease.I will be rolling on,closing my eyes but I will not be sleeping. All types of thinking will be passing on in the mind and only I would get a deep sleep for half an hour.I have observed this when I have to sleep in some friends or relatives house and in hotel rooms. But on the second day,I can adjust with the environment and have a good sleep.Cheers!

Yes that's also the same with me...on the second day I could sleep already. But, there were times I could sleep in someones else houses but it depends on the status of my body. If I would be too tired or maybe too sleepy I don't care of wherever I would be as long as i would be safe in my sleep, but it seldom happen...thanks for responding my friend...
