Did you know your child is ten to 15 times more likely to develop type 1 diabetes if they have a relative with the disease. Now a simple test can confirm that they are increase risk up to a decade before symptoms appear. Diagnosing diabetes can make the condition easier to manage and decrease the chances that a child will develop serious long-term complications.

hi dkangelprincess I have been a diabetic for years and I'take
Diabetes forcast a magazine with latest info and other articles'but havent seen a thing about a test that does that. this is either just'
a few days old or its some more internet misinformation. I for one'dont think there is a test like that yet,as it would be very hard to do this one. I do know if your grandparents or parents or evern great grands have had diabetes your chances are much greater of getting it and you can eat right and keep your weight down to the right weight and exercise daily and not get the disease. One horrid statistic shows that many diabetics did not get diagnosed until a year or more after they got the disease.if my own mom had told me she was a
diabetic I might have been able to escape from having it by doing the right things for my health.

Hi Hatley, This information is accurate. I am studying to be a nurse and this is one of the newer test they have come out with.Diabeties is passed from person to person. Only certain people will develop it or not. This is why they have come out with advance test to see about diabeties. I hope this helps. Have a great day.
