there is lot of responses for silly discussions

Hi Yugasini. People here ask all kinds of things, yes? Perhaps since we are from all over the world, it is simple curiosity, or else they cannot think of anything deeper to ask at the time. Some of the more complex discussions do get plenty of responses. The ones that don't might just be a matter of others not knowing what to say, etc. I don't mind the soap and spit questions lol. Some I answer; some not! But I also answer the more serious questions, as I've learned a lot from them. Take care and be well. Karen

Hi there! Please permit me to amend your discussion, instead of the word you may replace the word 'silly' with the word 'easier'. It is true that easier discussions fetch more responses than the complex ones. You see, many users can relate to easier discussions and it is difficult for them to write on complex matters/issues, therefore, easier discussions get more responses. There around 182,102 members on mylot so choice will differ from person to person. It depends upon our choice, whether we want to participate in any discussion or not, irrespective of the fact whether it could be termed as silly or sane discussion.

Personally I think it really depends on what time of day you come in here, and who is actively posting and responding in here as well. There are many times I come here and check out some of the Newer discussions being started, etc. and often wonder where are the Good discussions at? Since in reality the main sites I earn extra $$ in and want to earn in is Writing sites or myLot I have never been interested in the other type of earning discussions in here as well. And who wants to only post back to a What is your favorite color all of the time?

I think the discussions in question gets a lot of responses because they are on subjects everyone can relate to and everyone can respond. Everyone use soapso if there is a discussion on what type of soak they use, most people can respond because it concerns them. I agree that there should be more responses on discussions with deeper thoughts and meanings though.

I think most people her eon mylot just want to get the earnings for typing a good response to such a silly questions. I can say that i do this because it it time consuming and you can type a lot in a little amount of time on such an easy discussion that someone started. Sometimes i read a discussion and I'm like i have no idea even what to write at this moment and i sometimes don't want to sit around and think about it and then come back and write something on it, i want to keep writing and writing on other discussions as well and to keep writing on discussions i try to read a discussion fast and respond with as much information as i can. Most people her eon mylot are probably here to try and reach the payout every month and i know i am on here to try and earn that little amount of cash each month and i know i have to be active on here to do so, so to keep writing i try to write on discussions that don't have much meaning to them and are quit silly.

Well, we cannot really dictate to other people what we want to read or see in mylot. After all, we practice freedom here and invite people to write about stuffs that they want to share. If any responds to it, then so be it. I think that simple discussions like that do no harm, provided that they are not redundant or more importantly, it does not promote hatred or try to demean other people.

The discussions you mentioned get so many responses because it's very easy for people to respond them. Everybody takes baths, spits or not on the street... People are also interested in earning money from the Internet, that's why many of the members joined myLot. It's harder to get responses to more complex discussions because people don't want to loose to much time in posting the response, or they don't want to give to much thinking for an elaborate response. Not to mention that many of the discussions you call "good discussions" don't apply to all members, so only a part of them can actually relate to the discussed topic.

I too have noticed this and commented upon it too. Not only that, but they come out as the best discussions on mylot by admin. Can you believe that ! Ive seen really good discussions go without many replies. Its really frustrating. But then people here like to reply without using their brains, just reply for the sake of enjoying silly discussions and earn. Wish people, like you and me, read more sensitive discussions and comment upon them. It would take mylot to a newer and higher level.

I think it is common to see all these discussions on mylot, every once in a while we see some different ones like really a topic topic to discuss.

Hi yugasini I think some people really like to respond to more no of discussions rather than the quality of it especially the newbies plus they have more fun responding to such discussions i guess, anyways i just ignore such discussions and keep on, it doesn't bother me much... . . . have a nice day yugasini

It's actually the commonness that drives the members to respond to a certain topic. When you want someone to respond to your discussion, make sure that they can relate to the topic your about to spill. As for me, i always choose topics that i can relate on for me to give a good response and advice. These situations are quite funny and remarkable so we must get each others interest. I would personally appreciate if someone marked me as their best response.It gives me an overwhelming feeling inside that even when i am just being myself here here, in this community, i am able to help other people around the world. That would be the best rewarding feeling i ever felt since i joined here.

It may look silly to you, but when it receives a lot of response it means it is an interesting topic, with good demand, after all so many people will not waste their time if it is really a silly one.

I agree with you...here most of them participate to earn money in a short time...so who has time to break their heads and give valuable suggestions. Here every second is important...the moment I log into mylot I keep my brain out of my head and start responding to discussions :-)

hi yugasini! good observation but just have fun with mylot and make good responses. mylot-ters are smart and they have good reasons for attending to that "silly discussions" that you are referring to. maybe, it's their way of expressing their humor, affirming one's discussion, taking things lightly and earning at the same time. enjoy mylot-ting!

Maybe the silly discussions get more responses because they are easier for people who don't speak English well to respond to? I don't know. But there are still many good discussions here, you just have to look!

Yes i too have noticed it. Many times they get more response. But in mylot all have their freedom we cannot go and ask them to stop. So the best way is to keep enjoying mylot and ignore those discussions. Happy Mylotting.

The world is of different tastes. In a family of 5 to 6 persons we can't cater to every one. This is a family of more than 1,80,000. Imagine the volume of tastes. So bear with us dear friend.

Hello yugasini, We are here to learn and have fun. What might be silly to you might prove important to others. The examples you have named out might have actually offended the person who started those discussion. I dont think asking what type of soap we use is silly as different people have different skin types and different soap options. Try not to degrade others here as we are all equal and are here in this beautiful community to support each other. Happy myLotting.

I have to admit, that I am one of the people on here that takes the time to answer some of the silly discussions. Why? Because they are fun. I have a lot of fun reading what other people say and I usually get a few laughs out of that. But, I also take just as much time to answer the more serious discussions. Being that I am a parent, I tend to start discussions about things that kids are doing right now because they are fun and they are important to parents. I don't think there are any useless discussions, just discussions that appeal to different kinds of people.

I've answered few, mostly because it seems like a fun one to answer, though i have noticed that for those ones, my responses seem ridiculously long LOL no point in answering anything if your not going to give a very through answer to it. If its a simple question. Then again...i enjoy putting my two cents in ^_^
