Soda, Pop, or Coke?

It may have been asked before on here but I'm curios what do you call it where you live. I grew up in the Bay Area of California and it was always called soda (I still call it that). I moved to Kansas and here it's known as only Pop... it drives me crazy. Then I have a friend that only calls everything he drinks Coke no matter what it is. So give me your input.
First-What do you call it
Second-What is should be called
I still cay SODA!!!

so many names there!!in reality i call these kind of beverages as coke and stop!!i think normally people coming from foreign countries in relation to us they call soda a simply coke!!May be there considering there are so much different drinks there are also different names!!
