So classes just started today. And my roommate who has been feeling under the weather went to the student health center and was diagnosed with Type A Influenza, probably yet another case of the H1N1 virus on campus this semester (http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/53343552.html). Despite being excused from classes and work and being advised to completely isolate herself, my roommate is not going home. She's staying here. In this house. With two other girls. Is it wrong for me to be pissed?

This would really cheese me off. The only excuse I would not be upset about in her case is if there are high risk people she could pass it to if she goes home. She has to stay somewhere. I hope she is doing everything else she can to try not to pass it the two of you. I lived in the dorms when I was in college and consideration from roommates was not something I learned to count on. Good luck I hope the bug doesn't bite you.

that's how i felt. i figured if we were already exposed, she might as well stay here instead of going home and exposing it to her family. but then again, her family isn't starting school like we are. they can afford to get sick, tehe.
