Three Day Novel contest 2009!

I'm so prepared. I hired a typist because talking to the recorder just didn't work. I tried it last year. I've sent in my $50.00, but they sent it back because the post office has new rules about sending money internationally. But, no fear, I'm going to paypal them. My story also has a title, an outline, character sketches, and I've done more research for this project than I've ever done for anything. If I don't make the short list, I will be seriously disappointed. What about you? Are you embarking on the three day novel adventure? If you're interested, details are at www.threedaynovel.com.

I don't feel like I'm throwing fifty bucks around. I don't have that kind of money to do that either. I'm entering because, one, I feel like the story has a good chance of winning. And two, if I don't get these characters out of my head soon there might not be any space left over for me as a person.

Well, if I had had time to save up I might be doing it too. But I never have fifty bucks free. I'm lucky to ever have ten bucks free for anything.
I didn't mean to sound harsh...I get where you're coming from, and the contest is really cool. It's just that I'm not sure I'll ever be able to save up that much money for something. At least not for a few years.
If I could I WOULD do it also, though.

Here's the sucky part about that. I don't have the time or the inspiration to write like this anymore, but I've actually done this. Not the contest/adventure/whathaveyou but written a novel in three days. It was a little bit short of what their average submission is (average is about 50,000 words, mine was 40) and it was horrid (I discovered when I set about retyping it after losing it to a virus) but I have written a short novel in three days.
