I had my first two ears of fresh sweet corn on the cob tonight....it was called peaches and cream and it was totally yummy! Have you gotten sweet corn off a truck or at a farmers market yet? Are you enjoying the fruits of someone else's labor?

Yes I'm back to work and trying to catch up on bills. Not going to good for any of us. My one friend lost his house and land. 5 other people at work filed for bank what ever. and two other people lost there homes and one tonight got kicked out of her house. And she was almost caught up on her rent. I can't take it. Ok I almost feel a little better. Your friend onlydia.

I have had fresh corn within the last month. It was great. Was visiting New Mexico and our daughter made it one evening for dinner. So yummy. Our son-in-law grew tomatoes this year and they were excellent.

We usually eat a lot more sweet corn than we have this summer. I like the peaches and cream kind, too. We bought some sweet corn too early in the season when it didn't have enough flavor and was kind of tough. However, we both love corn, so we'll probably throw some on the charcoal grill a few more times this summer.

My favorite is bread and butter corn. It is sweet and so good this time of year. I can't believe the price of it though. A few weeks ago I paid $5 for a dozen ears! That is highway robbery!

Oh yes. We sure have. We went to two different parties this weekend one on Saturday and one on Sunday. They both had sweet corn, one of them was this farmers own hybrid variety. It was amazing, sweetest corn I ever tasted. I am going to go and buy some, this farmer is about 30 minutes from here, but I think it is totally worth it. The other sweet corn was really good too, not quite as good as the one but still really good.

Peaches & cream is my very favorite corn. yes, i have had some this year. Thank heavens we have a framer's market in the summer here. I t high this year tho, they are getting $4 a dozen. I usually put corn in the freezer but haven't bought any to put up at that price. I sure don't blame them for getting that price , it's alot of hard work to raise all those veggies. HAVE A GOOD DAY, JILL.

We haven't bought a lot of corn this summer. But last week it was on sale and looked good, so we picked some up! It was the most delicious corn I'd had in a long time! Now I just wish we would've gotten more. We actually purchased it at the grocery store, surprisingly enough.
