All of the things that you mentioned above are some qualities of a good friend. To me a good friend is someone who is there for you when you need them and is supportive as well as being good company.

To be really honest, we can all be friends on MyLot. But can you call all of them good friends. I don't think so. We don't know anything about them apart from what they write on MyLot. Some may be known to each other by being on this forum for a long time. But to me, a good friend is someone I can be without even communicating for a long time, and yet know she's thinking of me, and the moment we get in touch or see each other, it's like there was no break at all. You trust her with your life, you care about her problems, you laugh and cry with her. You're really thrilled when she gets a promotion even though you might have failed an exam yourself. A good friend is selfless and everlasting. You can't have that kind of "many" good friends. Maybe just one or two. But for me that's more than enough.

Hi shhheila I am a very loyal friend to those that deserve it, my only down fall is my time, I don't spend as much time as I should with the people I care about, other than that, I do any/everything for those I care about with a doubt, finding people like this is really rare, there are so many selfish people out there its really hard to take anyone seriously.

i believe... its telling them the truth.. even if it means hurting them....and reassuring them that you have a shoulder...for them to cry on...

i can tell who a good friend is by how comtfall i feel around them and how long know know them. only have 2 or 3 of good friends

Thanks and with my best regards to yourself for your opinion is that : Are your trying to be friends with someone to be accepted into a certain clique , or because you'd like to get to know someone else that he or she knows ? That's not friendship , it's opportunism . Every new person you meet has the right to be accepted ( or not ) on his or her own merits , it's better to just be your self than let anyone else influence you into being someone you are not .

Fist,being good friend just as men discover their affinity to eacher,they should got similar values about lifes and have the same habits. Second, being loyal is also important. Never turn your back upon your friends in times of adversity or distress. Be the same today as it always was! Finally, give each other space to think, grow and enjoy.Don't go too close is a very important way to protect a valuable friendship from being destoryed .

Sharing doesn't mean sharing food or sharing clothes, its about sharing their happiness and sadness with us. I saw many of them share their sadness immediately but delays to share their happiness. Many of them share only one feeling with their friends. I think sharing everything is all about the good friendship.
