What are your thoughts and input on making money online.

I have been trying to find many different ways to make money online. I actually just ran across this website while searching. I got to this website from another website, that i got to form yet another website. Browsing the internet usually leads me to this sort of page hopping. While trying to search for a great way to make money online, that didn't have to do with providing any money upfront, a thought jumped into my head. If there was a great way to make money, a lot of money, why would others share this? Because there was that much business, or me making money made someone else money? I kept looking at many different sites, while getting used to different types of way to make money. You can click on links, create links that turn into ads, download files, uploads, write articles. The list goes on and on and i don't know where to start. This website pays for just active use, so i thought i would give this a shot. Though they don't post exactly what they pay, say for creating a discussion or replying to them. Do you get .05 cents for making one, and .01 cents per reply. These things i would like to know as my time is precious to me. The question i'm getting at is "What are your favorite sites, or the site you make the most money from?" Have you ran across any sites that totally left you hanging or wishing you never joined? All input would be greatly appreciated.
