I strongly recommend that new people here don't do posts for a while until they learn how Mylot works! When you post there are responsibilities that come with that, giving pluses and minuses, responding to every response and maybe making comments to the responder as we are doing here! If you go out and make a bunch of posts thinking your going to make money, this is wrong, you probably won't get many responses because you don't have many friends and you don't have a reputation yet! But if you happen to get a lot of responses to each post you could get over whelmed trying to respond to everyone. You follow me? So if you just do responses you can go at your own pace and see how others here do their responses, and try to make friends this is real important for your future here! Good luck if you follow these hints it will help you! tdemex

I think you are using your experience to give this advice. Thanks a lot Tedmex. So i think its hard to make money here, at least until you learn the tricks & tips. Say what?

Well you just have to go thru the learning curve like every one else! This is a great site but it's not for everyone, You have to like to type, that is really important, but there are 180,000 members so there must be a reason for that, right? It's takes an average of 650 to 700 posts to reach your first payout! But this can vary! Hang in there, you learn a lot here and you make some damn good friends! tdemex

It seems to me that the discussions that get the most responses are the silly ones like, "How often do you brush your teeth." The discussions that are the most fun and get thoughtful responses are the ones that could be considered controversial.

Hope that the topic wont turn too silly that others wont start another discussion saying how silly the topics are here!!

To attract more responses and get paid more, your discussion should have quality content and it should be clearly written. Clearly in the sense that it should be able to let others also understand that what you are trying to write and what views you are placing. There should not be irrelevant data in post and post should be well defined

If something is not clear enough, then is it possible that you will earn less from the existing responses?

write something interesting, unique, and doesn't require a yes or no answer in order to make other people actually respond to it with their thoughts and experiences, and therefore, get a conversation going.

Ya you really need to carry on with a conversation. sometimes I think a close ended question or comment can put an end to the thread.

Starting a discussion that will get people attention will help you a lot. If you go through your interests see which ones are high on the top for being used and use one of those interests to start a discussion as more people have those interests also and will more likely to respond to something they know about or like to talk/write about. Hopefully this will help you out and have a great day mylotting.
