Hi friends, i just want to get your opinion that would you prefer buying original CD/DVD's from the stores or just visit any p2p site and search for that artist's latest release....
I've asked this question coz almost all my friends would prefer downloading music or movies from the internet and they think its wastage of money to purchase original content....
But i think we should buy original contents to promote the artists...
So what's your opinion.....

I'm glad others out there feel the same way I do about buying the artist's music CDs instead of downloading them! The thing about music these days is that once an artist comes out with a new single, radio stations play them again, again, and again until you seriously want to change the station. To have the artists CD is another way to appreciate the artist for why they are musicians. What I mean is that by hearing more than just their popular songs, the listener gets a better interpretation of the artist's scope of material instead of hearing a hit track. That to me is the most important, and if not valued reason I listen to music. We are all capable of personal expression, so why not a musician, right?
Most of the time, if I'm buying a CD, I usually enjoy all of the material because music to me is just about addictive as caffeine. In fact, I think that having so many CDs shows my love for music, and also the vast landscape of artists that I have explored adorned upon my multimedia shelves. Also, having CDs is a lot less infuriating than that of an Ipod or those other portable music players. Not that I hate those portable music players, it is just a slight annoyance when you have to transfer all that music to the player, and then listen to the music. Or in the long run, having to store the music on your computer. Everyone out there with Ipods, enjoy them thoroughly, please. I'll stick with my CDs in order to feed my music addiction. :D

Purchasing the original means helping the music industry grow and that is the right way but personally I usually download things online because it is more convenient and saves me money. The economy is at its worst so I cant afford of buying something if I know there are ways to get it for free. I'm trying to make both ends meet so I will still download things unless the internet starts to stop and ban downloading.

I'm an computer engineering student and there we are taught to do best utilization of resources(CPU), so if we don't have some resources(money), we try to utilize some other resources(internet).
That's the basic fundamental of Software engineering and we are following that.
Also i've read a news today that British Gov is banning illegal downloaders.
Sorry for British residents. Now they have to purchase only.....

Hi there. I really like music. Some times I buy a music CD and and some times I try to download it for free from the internet, but I prefer to download the music from the internet, because it is free, easy and fast not like when I buy a CD. I need to go around my city to find the CD or DVD that I want to buy.
Happy myLotting..!!

I think nothing can be compared to a nice, shiny cd collection in display. I don't own much cds, I love music but not that much, but this is the same case of dvds or books. I love them physically, u know. Love to touch them, smell them, take care of them. It makes the experience richer when you can touch it and feel it's material, and not just listen to the music or watching the movie. It's all about the experience.
