Why not? The Davinci Code may be fiction but let's face it in a time and era when it was normal for men to have more then one wife it would have been stranger for him to not of been married. Also So what? It doesn't change anything if he was, there is nothing saying he wasn't married and their is no reason he shouldn't have been, God not only condones marriage he created it.

Point noted. But I heard that marriage is got Humans? if gods need to marry , then why is Mother Mary VIRGIN ?? when even the Mother is such a symbol of Purity, how can you expect to believe her son to be Married!!!

Ahh but the mother Mary was in fact married and had other children. Her becoming pregnant before marriage by God was only a "proof" that he could make that happen by a non physical force to prove he is a God.

Da vinci code is made by Dan Brown based on fictitious accounts that say Jesus got married to Mary Magdalene. I'm totally opposed to it. It is just a fable, not based on truth and historical account. I would rather believe in the account in the bible because it is the truth both spiritually and historically.

There are verses in the bible that Jesus had brothers and sisters like John 7:1-10 and other verses. After Jesus had been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born, Mary (mother of Jesus) and Joseph had natural relationship as husband and wife. But Jesus was never married to Mary Magdalene, He already ascended into heaven after 40 days of His resurrection.

This "Bible" code was going real strong around here for a few years but about two years ago it was proven wrong so we no longer hear anything about it. It predicted that something would happen on a certain date and it didn't happen. A lot of people had a lot of faith in it but after that people were ashamed to even mention it. There is no big secret to the Bible and never was. The Bible up to the birth of Jesus is simply a history book that tells what happened. You need to understand this world has three different stages and the Bible has the information needed for people to live in those stages. The time from Adam to Noah was the first stage. This stage is covered in the first book of the Bible. The time from Noah to Jesus was the second stage. It is covered in the rest of the Old Testament. The time from Jesus to the end of this world is covered in the New Testament. Any code is only in man's mind it is not real. I believe Jesus would have had every right to marry if that is what He wanted to do but there is nothing that says He did. Art

Hey Arkie, it was very nice to see this info. Its also that the Bible is not just a history book but The book which contains Versus which is said to be the key weapon against Evil & fear.

The Davinci Code was just a book. It is not a true story. It's a bunch of bull. People who believe it are believing a lie. Jesus never married and never had a kid. That would throw everything about his true purpose for coming to the earth to save us off. Jesus was the only perfect human but he was more then human; he was God in the flesh.

I accept your point of view & understand how strong you want to express it.

This is a debateable topic which certainly brought different views, but it's healthy discussions that might an opener to some. Raised as a catholic, I firmly believe that Jesus was not married. Dan Brown "DaVince Code" was a fiction movie and not presented as a documentary based from the study of the author. Though he used real historical places like Louvre in Paris, still, it doesn't proved his points in the movie. Words like "brothers" did not refer as biological brothers at the time of Jesus. So as like today, spiritual brothers call each other "brothers or sisters". Interpretations of the bible had come differently through generations that resulted to diverse beliefs of the people. What is important is your own belief which you are accounted for when you finally meet your Creator.

Jesus was never married. The Davinici Code isn't the bible, and the Bible never said Jesus was married. Don't listen to that book, only listen to the Bible in religous cases =]

I understand that it is something made up of some hints & clues & its nowhere mentioned anywhere. but what convinced some people is that the hints showed pointed towards the same & the reasoning was really powerful.

I would tell them that "The DaVinci Code" is a work of fiction and that there's no evidence that Jesus married. Also, when the bride of Christ is mention in Scripture, it isn't a human being. I could be wrong about this so you might want to look it up, but I think the bride of Christ is either the new city of Jerusalem that comes down with Jesus when He sets up His millennium kingdom on earth, or His bride is the church.

Ya even I've heard that. The bride specifically means 'Christianity'.

there is no evidence to suggest that he was. That is just a non-fiction book which actually means its made up. So no i do not believe he was.

you know what surprises me the most ? the very fact that till the past 2000+ years nobody noticed that he was married and all of a sudden Mr.Dan Brown got this enlightenment that he is married and that he had an affair.......you know some people can do anything to prove somethings........it is rightly said that today evil is more triumphant in this world.......you will find people supporting evil all over the world......... The bible also says that the door towards heaven is very narrow and the road towards hell is very wide......and it is very obvious for human minds to chose the wide roads, as it provides you with all the luxurious possible you dot have to strive for anything......you get all that you seek...... I completely disagree with this fact and i will go only by the bible, no matter what science tells me I don't really care, god has given me brains to reason things out and i will use to to my full capacity !!!! Have a nice day !!!!

In the bible it is not said that Jesus was NOT married & more over his history from the age of chilhood till 33 is not given clearly. Oh, I'm just saying this like the book supporters say & not from my view. I too can never believe in that. So any say about this?

taz, I will answer both of your questions at one time. There are some books that the scholars left out when they got together and 'published' the bible as one book. and only GOd knows why they left them out. I believe that the bible has all the books God wanted and it makes good sense and good news to me! The amazing thing is that even though it is written at different times and by different men, all of the books and chapters are about one God, who is the same today, tomorrow and the day after. To answer the second question: I do not believe that Jesus was married. If he was, it would have been written about. I think that Jesus and the Father wanted Him to focus on his mission and not marriage and children, even though he did talk about them. 'The DaVinci Code' is fiction and obviously not real. But that is my personal opinion and I'm sure there are those who will disagree. happy lotting and God bless you,

well if a roman catholic priest reads this he'll be certainly against it. i don't believe it either it's just a movie. just to let you guys know i'm a catholic too. i don't know if you know this but in our religion(IFI) a priest can get married. IFI stands for iglesia filipina independiente, of course roman catholics priests can't get married.

Please stop talking about this awful, stupid lie that Jesus was married. He is a God and he do not need to reproduce. Jesus hase come on earth to save the people from their sins not for other things. He is holy,he is the king of the kings, just judge.Da vinci code is a part of one tale and a part of an ancient sect from the 1st century. There are not evidences that Jesus was married and it is sacrilege.
