Are you a confident person, or are you very self-conscious and shy? Have you always been that way?
Are you introverted or very extroverted?
In my experience, many people who are introverted aren't very confident, but I've met several people who are both an introvert and extremely confident, so I know it's not universally this way.

I think I'm a confident person now (I'm 51) - but I'm sure I wasn't when I was younger. As you get older, you don't care so much about what people think - nor do you feel you should keep up with people, or be a trendsetter, or conform to certain standards. I love being older, because I can wear what's comfortable and do what I like without anyone noticing (or caring). It's great! However, I probably am a bit shy and a bit of a loner - I really love my own company, and I've never been bored for a minute!

I used to be so shy that I wouldn't even walk into a store alone. Now I'm more outgoing to the point that I'll speak up and even go in places alone. I don't know what changed me so much but I feel a lot less stressed now.

I believe I am extrovert. I am easy to get along. What they see is what they get. They can talk to me anytime. I am usually shy at first, when I don't know the people around me, but it someone stands as an icebreaker he or she will not fail. I will entertain her or him. About being confident, When I want what I am doing I am confident. I never been an introvert.

Yes normally I'm a confident person, even like now I'm going thru some hard times, being laid off since last October. I know eventually It will get better and I'll get back in the game! I've been this way all my life, I played hockey for 12 years and am a pretty big guy, I think that had a lot to do with it! I've had to speak in front of large crowds and have been to some meetings with high rollers and had to speak in front of them, I've met a lot of movie stars and spoke to them with confidence so here I am! tdemex

Hey bree! I think that I have always been a little bit of
both! But, when I was younger I was definitely more of an
introvert. I was very shy and afraid to speak my mind, but
yet when I was in class at school I was one of the class big
mouths and clown and would always get in trouble! So this
would kind of confuse me! And as I got older I became very
much of a big mouth and someone to be reckoned with! I had
taken so much sh1t and abuse when I was in school that I
became so defensive that I had totally changed into a complete
beotch! And I really wasn't like that it was just a wall or
persona I had to put up so that no one would hurt me again!
I have now calmed down and am no longer like that, but if
someone pushes me I will push back! I am totally confident
and will not take crap from anyone no matter who it is! I
almost once got arrested for talking back to a cop! But, this
was still in my not so calm days!

I am not confident. I am shy and just quiet, especially after several traumas. I can't change it, it's my inborn, but i can change it a little since married. Maybe i can be more extrovert after i got my second child. You know mom...liked to gossip. Being a mom is making me more brave also, cause i have to protect my child at one point.
