Rihanna & Chris Brown vs The Dixie Chicks

The Dixie Chicks were tormented for making a comment a few years ago about hating the fact they shared a home state with Bush.....The Dixie Chicks were "tabboo" from that point on and no radio station wanted to "condone" this message and so they stopped playing there music.... So why is it that we have chastised the Dixie Chicks more that Chris Brown, who has admitted to violently abusing Rihanna??? Does anyone else feel there is something wrong with this?????????????

pretty sick when not worshiping the president is a worse sin than beating up your girlfriend.

I always think music should beyond political and personal life, the only thing can destroy a musician is that his/her music is not good enough,so may be he abuse his girlfrind,or she leads a loose life, I just appreciate his music, but to me ,besides music,he is worthless,he is an aftermeal entertainment.and plus, maybe artists needs sth distorted to inspire ,who knows?

They still play the Dixie Chicks on the channels in my area..Not sure about yours. It's very occasional, but then again, they haven't really come out with a major "hit" song lately, either. I don't hear much of Chris Brown on the radio either - and it's also probably because he hasn't really come out with any new music. I don't think it really has to do with their political point of views or how they abuse their girlfriends. I really think it's a coincidence.
