Would you saw your own leg off in attempt to escape certain death?

This is for anyone who has seen the movie Saw, if put in the doctor's position would you saw off your own leg? Would you instead wait and hope help comes?

No, I would not saw of my legs. I would rather die than live a life without a leg. I love to play sports like cricket, basketball etc. My life won't be fun without my legs.

I don't know... I'd like to say that I'd wait for help, but at the same time, part of me says "ah saw it off, u can get a fake foot, at least u'll be alive", so I really don't know what I'd do.
What about you ?
