I ordered something off of E-Bay and it was sent to me via USPS. I entered the tracking number and the postal service's website says "Your item was delivered at 11:02 AM on August 24, 2009 in Minneapolis, MN". The problem is... IT'S NOT AT MY HOUSE!!! Where could it be? It says it was delivered, but where? the post office? the moon? It's obviously not at my house! And I really want my package!
I ordered something for a craft project and I'm really eager to get started.
Have you had any problems with the US postal service?

Who hasn't had a problem with the US Postal Service should be the question. It's nothing more egravating to see it say that your package was delivered and meanwhile you don't have it. I would check with my neighbors first maybe it was dropped off at the wrong house. Then go to the post office to get too the bottom of the problem. I hope you find your package and good luck to you.

I got my package. I went to the post office and got everything straightened out. My house number wasn't typed correctly on ebay. Two numbers were switched around. I have no idea why it said delivered though!

I am still having this problem with UPS after one year. They delivered something to the wrong house. Well the place that sent the item swear's I have gotten it so they sent my bill to a collection agency. The problem is I reported it back 1 week after the item was sent that I had not recieved it. So someone mixed up someplace. I got right into it with the collection agency one day, that I would never pay for something I didn't get. The worst part is the company has it down that I reported it to them that I never got the package within a week of them sending it. So why am I still being billed? I think some day's that UPS, and USPS both mess up.

That's horrible! Keep standing your ground and don't pay for something you never got!

You need to contact the post office right away, very likely either someone took it from your porch or the mailman delivered it to the wrong house. As someone who has an online business and depends on the postal service to deliver my items I have had my fair share of problems. More than once a package I sent out has come back to me smashed, or ripped. Occasionally customers do not get their orders, that is really frustrating for me and makes me look bad, and I have to pay for the replacements out of my own pockent. Unless the package was insured they will do nothing for you. Basically you have to pay them for insurance to protect you against them. I hope you and your seller agreed to put insurance on your package. Otherwise if it was delivered to the wrong address you have no options. This one is obviously not the sellers fault but the mailman's.

Gosh, I hope you got your package!! Especially by now.
I've never had any problems with packages but I swore at our last apartment that our mailman stole our mail. Seriously we had so much crap that never came, it was really frustrating! Luckily it was never anything really worth money.

Sometimes mailmen can be stupid though. Every now and then we'll receive our neighbors mail.
I got my package, and if you had read above you would have seen that I wrote that :)
