The nearest I have been to is Hong Kong. I really liked it there and gave me a desire to venture into mainland China. I would love to arrive in Beijing off the Trans Siberian Railway. I think the Chinese culture is fascinating. I really like Chinese people. They so so polite, kind and interesting. I ate rice when I was traveling in Malaysia. I don't like Chinese food because I have a vegan diet. One day I hope to visit lovely China.

hi,maximax8 first,I am glad to hear that you had a pleasant journey in HongKong,I think Hong Kong is a unique and remarkable place because of its perfect compatibility both with Chinese culture and Western culture,it just like a window for westerners to know about China, also is a important part of what China is showing to the world.I am Chinese and I am so glad to hear you are interested in tradional Chinese culture, people here,Beijing city, etc. you said you don't like Chinese food becatse you have a vegan diet, but I don't think so,maybe because you just didn't find appropriate type of Chinese food,I hope you can taste all kinds of Chinese native cuisine and enjoy one or two kinds one day when you actually visit this lo-----vely country as you described, anyway, welcome to China, welcome to Beijing.

I know very little about the Chinese culture, I'm not crazy about their food, and I think the people there are probably like people in most places - some are charming and friendly, while others are jerks. I would like to visit the country some time in my life. There are parts of it that look beautiful.

I am a Malaysian chinese and I do travel a lot around. I have been to Xiamen, Shantou and I worked in Hong Kong for 6 months in the past. I like to visit big cities in China like Beijing and Shanghai when I have the time to spare. The food is nice in China especially in Hong Kong.

Yes I love travelling to China. I love Chinese cuisine (dimsum). I've been to Nanjing once and the experience was great. I can speak a little chinese so getting around the city was not that difficult.
