What is the best gift you gave your partner on their birthday?

Yesterday was hubby's birthday, he wasn't supposed to be here to spend his birthday since we both don't have enough money to celebrate his birthday, at least that's what he knew all along.
So I woke up early and called him to greet him and that I asked him to go home and just spend the day with me, what he doesn't know was that I planned a surprise party for him. Cooked foods and invited friends and family. In the evening he arrived and he was so surprised to see all I cooked for him. He thought we will pass on his birthday this year.
We partied and had some drinks with friends and everything is fun. He was so happy and I'm so glad that I made his day on his birthday.
How about you? What is the best surprise or gift you gave to make your hubby, wife, partner happy on their birthday?

My significant other is very self-conscious about his "spare tire", so as a gift, I gave him the Men's Abdomen Shirt by Ardyss, which flattened his tummy. I hesitated, because I didn't want to be offensive, but he is very happy with it.

Hmm is that effective? I'm thinking maybe I should get him one to flatten his tummy also. I'm glad his happy with your gift. I'm sure its always the thought that counts.

Happy belated birthday to your husband!! haha =D I guess both of u must have some great fun last night right?? I believe he really enjoyed himself too!! GOOd for u, and your surprise party for him!! 
So far, my only best gift comes from my frenz, whom set up an outdoor bbq and camp for me, for my birthday, lasting for 3 days!! lol =D It was kinda fun as we are only eating and having fun by the seaside for the 3days there.. However, i fall sick on the 2nd day, and thus there was a little disappointment in there.. haha

3 days! That must be fun! Well yea we did have fun on his birthday. Friends came and had drink with us. It was fun!

Ironically enough, the best gift I ever gave my hubby for his birthday were some socks and underwear. One week he mixed up his laundry bag with the trash bag, and put the laundry out for the trash collector. LOL Poor guy ended up tossing out all kinds of socks and underwear, which I ended up replacing for him. hahahahahaha

Hiya angel..give hubby a birthday hug from me, will ya please? As for gifts on birthdays, I don't really give any, just a card is pretty much it. I never was one for gift-giving cept for maybe my daugher but that will stop also eventually. I'm not one to celebrate my own b-day either and don't expect anyone else to. Just another day for me.

Yea same here, I don't celebrate my birthday as well. Its just another ordinary day for me. Usually I spend it watching DVD. I already gave your hug to hubby, he said thanks by the way.
