There is this amazing new invention....the TURN SIGNAL

I really get tired of being out in traffic and all of the sudden there is someone right in front of you and they never bothered to put on their turn signal. And why is it that these people are always driving like 1 mile an hour faster than you so you have to slow down once they cut you off? I know I am not the only one annoyed by this. Do you use your turn signal when changing lanes?

LOL, I know exactly what you mean. It's very annoying when people don't use their turn signals. I always make sure to use mine. Of course that might also be because I am trying to clean up my driving record and don't prefer to give anyone a reason to pull me over. I got one of those nice little letters from driver control telling me how many points I have on my record and that driving is a privilege, blah blah blah. So, anyway, what can you do, though? That's why you have to be aware of all the idiots on the road with you and always expect the worse from them.

Then there are those people who turn theirs on for miles and then don't turn or change lanes.

I completely understand your frustration. I used to live in a state where a police officer would pull you over for not using your turn signal, so it was really important to use them at all times and I did and still do. But now that I've moved I'm in a state where it's ok to not use turn signals, apparently, since no one actually uses them (except, apparently, me). I have people turn in front of me all the time or randomly slam on their brakes and turn with no warning or anything. My hubby actually got into a fender bender because someone didn't use their turn signal and slammed on their brakes during a rain storm and when he hit his brakes he slid on the water. I like to practice safe driving every way that I can, so I do try to make sure that I make sure to use my turn signals and such. We can't afford to have our car insurance go up nor fix our car if something happens to it, so we try to be extra careful just in case.

I just have liability on my car, so if the other person does not have insurance I am basically screwed. That is why I am always super careful when driving and really aware of the other cars.

I always use a turn signal. It's a habit. My dad hardly ever does, which drives me nuts if I'm riding with him. However, he never cuts anyone off like that. He gets far ahead of someone before getting over in their lane. I don't even mind it if people pass me because they think I'm going too slow...as long as they use their turn signal when they pass me. On a two lane road on the way to my parent's house, the speed limit is 45mph. Which I always obey. Well a lot of people don't. So when they see there is no one coming in the opposite direction, they pass me. But it bugs me when they don't use their turn signal, they get back over in front of me a foot in front of my car, and then speed up and go on their way.

People like that drive me nuts. Or they do that when they don't know wich lane they need to go in so they force their way into yours many times with out signal. Like one road nearby the right lane goes to Wal-mart, but past the light it goes on a lil road tward another hwy. SO people avoid that right lane thinking I'll have to break for those going to WM wich is not very true and then they force themselves into your lane. Then ya got the lovlies that cut accross several lanes at one shot w/o even a though of using a signal. It's just the flip of your finger, not like it's areobic exercise to turn it on.
