can anyone describe the pain of a tattoo??? anyone.........

I was pretty scared when I got my first tattoo. Everyone said that it wouldn't hurt very much, but I've got a really low tolerance for most pain, so I was still really nervous. I wouldn't worry too much. I held someone's hand my first time and I probably would the second time, too, just for comfort, but it only hurts a little bit and they pause rather often, so the pain goes away after a while. And once they're done it didn't hurt any more after that. When it starts to heal and itch, though, it'll drive you insane, I promise! The part that hurt most for me was the outline, and mostly higher up towards my neck. The color wasn't too bad at all. :) I'm still planning on going back and getting two more before I'm done!

Honestly getting a tattoo isn't as bad as everyone says. The part of your body where you're getting a tattoo hurts at first but eventually goes numb so you only feel it a little bit. I know this was posted a month ago, so have you gotten you're tattoo yet?

For me it is more like getting scratched by a cat. It doesn't hurt too much, just a little discomfort. They do take breaks which helps with the "pain" and help it not hurt as much. My tattoo artist talks to me while he works so it takes my mind off of things. I like getting tattoos while it does feel like getting scratched I like the feeling of my skin vibrating under the needle.

I went with my uncle tog et one of his tattoos. It looked really painless. He just sat there and flexed while the guy helped him do the design he wanted. Maybe that's because he was not afraid of the pain but it made me believe tattoos don't hurt that much. You should really think it over before getting one though since it's permanent. Good luck
