Congratulations, Taskr! I'm so happy for you and hope your new son and wife are well. Have you chosen a name yet? Also, how much did he weigh, how long is he, does he have lots of hair or not? There's nothing in the world like being a mommy or daddy! I hope you manage to get some good sleep before he comes home, assuming they're still in the hospital since I guess some places don't keep new moms and babies very long these days! Again, congrats and all my best to you all. Blessings! Annie

OOPS!! My bad...I'm glad I'm not the only one who answered from my e-mail and didn't know you'd posted a photo and told his name! Annie

If you have your e-mail notifications set to "On" from your friends list (each friend has to be turned on individually) you'll get an e-mail whenever that friend starts a discussion. I don't answer directly from e-mail very often but I was excited and happy for you so I jumped right in. Since Mom had a C-section, make sure she doesn't lift anything too heavy for awhile after she goes home. My daughter had both my grandkids that way and she ended up with adhesions which can be pretty painful. I think hers may have come mostly from when she returned to work at the nursing home where she had to lift patients. Annie

I'm telling you that's going to be hard. My wife is sooooo stubborn. Even now she's up walking around because she didn't want to wait till morning to have help from the doctor with getting out of bed. It's 1:40 am as I write this. She hates not being active. Thanks for the advice though. It'll help me to convince her that bad things happen if she doesn't follow the doctor's advice.

Congratulations!! My son is turning 1 on Saturday, and it feels like he was born yesterday. The time flies by and you always hear people say "they grow up so fast", but you don't actually realize how true it is until it happens before your own eyes. Enjoy fatherhood. Parenting is the best!!! Takes lots, and I mean lots of pictures!! It's amazing to see them grow. Best wishes...

Congrats! I had the same feeling 13 years ago when my daughter was born, and I have now 2 kids in which my son now is 8 years old. Incidentally, I have a blog that contains free parenting tips that I think can help you while your child is growing Here is the link - http://fatherblogger.com/ Good luck!

Lol, I just read the comment about bliss and hell mixed together. That is SO true! One minute they love you, the next they hate you ( my five year old tells me she hates me all the time ). I have 3 girls, and they are already keeping daddy busy! My 5 year old has a boyfriend, my 1 & 2 year old like to flirt (especially in the grocery store). I scared to think about what they'll be like as teenagers!
