last night when everyone are alseep I felt a sudden loneliness when i heard James Ingram's song, I remember my dad who used to sing that song everytime we had an occasion or if he has no work. I also missed my sister who is also away with her family. What I did to ease the sadness and loneliness, I play the guitar and hum the lyrics until i feel little bit okay. What about you guys? what do you usually do when you feel sadness? Is it often happend to you? love to hear your stories.

hello simone! well as for me, when i am sad, i am very quite! huh! and you will always hear me sighing and taking adeep breath! hahaha..that's what i do when im sad and sometimes i try to focus my mind to other things...haha..its difficult to be sad...i feel like the whole world is on my back! huh!@

does sadness really cancer cells. i dont think so. but i think that they release free radicals that accelerate aging. so i think that you better take anti oxidants when you are sad so that you can eliminate or minimize those free radicals being produced by your sad emotions .

hello, ckyera. well, it is. I hate that feeling too. As of now i'm trying to avoid being blue because i don't want my body to release cancer cells or my having an unhealthy cells. Grrr! I don't want to be ill in the future. Thanks for your time. Ciao!

I get in touch with my friends and listen to their problems and try to bring some sort of solutions for them. It gives me a little high.

O YEAH, keeping in touch with friends helps a lot too.. it sure does help to have soneone to talk too.. but since i'm the busy type. eating is more convenient for me.. it takes a lot fo my time to go out and see friends........

i fell few sadness here for i have four teen children that if they are not kidding around and laughing, for sure they are quarelling lol. but when i feel sad i open photo albums and sure it makes me laugh to see old photographs and the flashback of memories that goes with the pictures. i also sing when i feel blue or watch dvd movies that are really funny.

my first born is a boy, then i have three daughters. it is noisy here most of the time. imagine if i have 14 children my goodness that would be an army. that would be even hard to feed lol. i have a few here and a few at my moms hows that we only have a chance to look at if we are at her place. sometimes pets can really be disaster.

you have fourteen children, huh? Thats a lot. Kidding. So, you have teens at home. Are they all boys? I don't know how to sing and we also don't have photo albums left because our cats pee on it. I hate cats! They are naturaly born bandits. Good thing you still have photos to reminisce.

i used to play piano when i am sad but that is not good way to express or let out my feelings. cause the whole neighborhood will hear the music i am playing and they will not or realize that i am depressed. LOL. so i stopped playing piano to lessen my loneliness. i used to stay in my room for days when i am just sad. i think it was more like a depression. things were too tough for me. i grew up lonely. no friends and though i have family always with me, they were not my source of strengh but i am still glad they are always around. but i have had no close friends which drive me to deeper loneliness and sadness. i have some friends but no real close friends that i can call just to go out and just to be with or to enjoy company with. i wish i would. i grew older wishing to have one good friend like that. but things didn't turn in my favor. i just grew old waiting for some one who could be a good companion for me. it is sad kind of life for me also. but i have learned to deal with my situation. i don't just go inside my room if i am sad. i do some thing creative and not just let time pass without doing any thing. it is sad life indeed. but i know like can also be bright and beautiful but i just need to do the right thing or steps for me to have that kind of life. but before i was kind of totally clueless. though i will not say i have found the perfect answer to my problem but at least i have solution already and get to live live pretty easier now and life is not that lonely as it was before. but still loneliness still creeps in from time to time but not that much.

Pianinst can really express their emotions through their music playing. So, when you're sad do you play where do i begin? are you crying when hit you those notes? or your playing funky notes to release the negativity? During our childhood maybe you isolate your self often? having friends is okay but we cannot keep them for life because they also have their plans. I used to have close friends but they are all gone and busy. It is still good to have a family to lean though as you said they are not always the source of strength. Yes, deer. your in a depression stage and I've been there and it is not really a good feeling. What i did to cope is when i went to the church and ask for HIS help, to lessen atleast the pain. why don't you try it? you'll have a better feeling after surrendering to HIM your burdens. HE is really powerfull.

when I am feeling lonely or sad, my best weapon is tears. It's very workable, magical, which I'm sure you will not like it coz you are man. yeah, music sometimes helps but in many cases, music, I mean when we're feeling blue, we tend to listen to blue music and this flames our sadness instead. I guess tears will never betray us and act reversely.

hello,magic. Well, we have dfferent ways of coping sadness. Music won't really work for me it will only worsen the situation. For me, i don't mind seing a man crying rather than seing them pretending that they are not hurt. Thanks for responding! By the way its not simon, its simone.

the thing with me,,is when i'm sad.. I eat, eat, eat. even if im not hingry, it kinda relives the sad thoughts and feelings.. my sister is the opposite, when she;s upset, she doesnt eat for days and locks herself us in her room. I love myself too much to starve myslef. no way

well, eating is the only other way to compensate the sadness. Do you usually eat sweets when you're sad? or just munch anything what is available on the fridge?Your sister did that? she must have a problem with her boyfriend. girls usually do that when they are depressed with their patner. ssshhh... it's our secret. hahahahah thank you for participating.

i eat anything that comes my way.. i'm glad i managed to keep my weight to a minimum. but unlike my sister, i would never starve myself wehn im depressed.. why would I? if i starve, i get more depressed.. remember dear....... the secret to a happy life= is= EATING GOOD FOOD!

Well, i will just be going out for a long long run till i feel much better.. hehe ^_^ Transforming all my sadness into energy, before venting them out in the form of sweat.. haha =D After which, i will be feeling better and i will be happier.. haha =D However there will be times i feel like crying, and i will do so, with a very sad movie too

Hi there, well whenever i am sad i just listening to music. I always love music so somehow listening to music makes me feel ok, and now that i have my daughter she was less than 2 years old I have the reason to smile everyday. Even there is problem when i saw my daughter playing, laughing or smiling at me my sadness was fade. She is my life and i can say she is the reason why i am still here , keep on mylotting

well, it works for you but for me, listening to music makes me feel so sad. Good thing you already have your little rascal to paint a smile on your face. I wish I also have mine to ease the sadness. But, I have cute little nephew and niece to chat sometimes.Kids always bring possitve aura. Thanks for the share, kmaram.

When i am sad i used to eat chocolates because it will lessen the depresseion in us, sometimes i listen to the music or i much prefered to be with my friends drinking some liquior.. LOL or else we go for a bar hopping. happy mylotting.

hmmmm... getting some booze to get rid of the sad feelings. I saw a lot of people going out to escape from their problems and tomorrow when they wake up they feel like drinking again because the sad feelings never gone, unless their drunk for the whole year. Do you usually bar hop during ladies night? that saves a lot. Happy hopping.

Well,Whenever i get sad,I just go into some lonely place where no one else should be there.I just think why i get sad,its little strange but i do think of the reason.Then after i feel the coolness and freshness of wind by sitting under Tree.Then after i come back to my home..Then i feel some betterness.

Well, being alone in a calm place will make us think and reflect, it helps alot. Sometimes I do that, I go to the beach which is five minute ride away from my place or if not at the church where i can pray solemnly. Praying for me helps me to forget the sad feeling. Thanks for commenting, Prince.

I think i can and need to answer that question now. because that is my current situation hehe. When i am sad first of all i listen to music because i like to sing the lyrics of song, though i am not good at singing hehe, but that deviates my mind. After that either i watch tv or switch the internet on. Here by talking with friends and coming to mylot i try to switch myself to other things. But at last i know neither of these things will help me to recover from the problem, they can only deviate my attention. So finally i give time to myself and discuss the problem with myself only and try t find a solution. Either he solution is there or i am occupied with a new problem. adding to that, i just wrote by reading the heading of discussion. After reading the content, earlier when a sad song was placed i used to get emotional but now i have many other things to make me feel senti so sad song doesn't divert me much now but when i am sad then these songs help much lol. And yeah if a moment is associated with a song as in your case then surely the moment is relived. As i am learning over the years take the positive thing out :)

Before I use to be like that. I'm sentimental type of person. Even my room looks like a garbage truck. Full of junks.. a collections of place that I have been. Even a receipt from a hardware store..lolz.. And I just to cry easily. Theirs even a time that I just wake up early in the morning and cry..lolz But now..Maybe I grown up and mature enough.. I'm done crying.. I'm tired crying.. Its been a year since I pity myself for having no job.. I'm used to have money now I have nothing in and all out.. My credit card burned out and I have no means to pay it.. but that's live.

When I feel sad...I use to spend time shopping and use the money on food. I will try my best to enjoy life when I have the blues...It is happening quite often nowadays because I am not in a right mood or should I say I am out of my comfort zone. However, every down need not to be a downturn forever. We must just keep on pushing hard to stop the bad things happening again.

When I'm sad I usually listen to my songs in iTunes while I'm curled up on my bed staring at blankly at the ceiling or the walls. A little dramatic but that only lasts for an hour or so and then I'll go watch some TV series or DVDs or read a book while munching on something and drinking coffee. By the time the show or the movie or the book that I'm reading is finished, I'll be able to forget how sad I'm feeling and go back to my usual routine of online "work".

Hello! I usually go for a long walk with my dog or go outside for a swim. I sometimes when I am sad will get lost in my own daydreams and dream the afternoon away. That is good that you express your feelings thru music and I am sure it helps and is a nice way to get away. Kinda cool and romantic too . Take care happy lotting!!!

Whenever i feel sad i vent out my feeling by crying silently. Then when my heart feels light, divert my concentration by watching tv or by going out. I come back when i feel better. I generally get over my sadness very quickly so there is no problem.

I usually listen to music more every time I'm sad. Sometimes I want myself to be sadder so little by little I can switch what I am doing to something more meaningful to ease the sadness like doing home chores or do a little exercise. I also go to a place where i can be alone and think of the wonderful things that happened and make myself happy by looking at the wonders right before my eyes.
