What is the best method to get mylot referrals? Is it worth it to try?

I just joined a week ago and am interested in recruiting people. I was wondering what the best way to go about it is. Should I join other social networking sites? How about money making forums? What sites or forums would you guys recommend that has worked for you? How about referral exchanges? I am new to this whole thing and would just like to hear what is working for most of you. I am trying to decide if it's worth the effort or whether or not I should concentrate my efforts at participating in discussions and starting new one. Any input would really be appreciated.

You could join social networking sites and message people about MyLot. Or you could refer your in-real-life friends & family (these seem to be the BEST referrals to get!). Just please don't spam people. It's so annoying and is totally ineffective. The only social networking site that I know has helped me is Ywwie, although it's kind of a hassle to join and add friends and whatnot..But it's worth a shot. And don't forget that if you put enough effort into it (and time, as well) you can earn a substantial amount here without ANY referrals. I made my first payout in 3 weeks without ONE referral. Now I have a couple of active referrals and it's like having an added bonus. It's nice.

I have done some researching on the internet so I know how you are suppose to join social networking sites or forums. I guess what I'm looking for is some instructions on what to do once you've joined one of these sites. Did you join Ywwie specifically to help you get referrals? If so, once you joined what did you do? I am a member of Facebook. Should I join money making groups and email people with my link? But isn't this spam? I am not really clear on how to do this. Any extra help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

No, I wouldn't do it over Facebook. Facebook takes spam seriously and will probably disable your account if they catch you doing it. Plus, Facebook isn't made up of people who know about earning online and are eager to discover new sites and methods of making money. Yuwie, on the other hand, is good at this because you supposedly make money on Yuwie. I intended to check Yuwie out.. Not necessarily to get referrals. So I made up a profile, added some pictures, customized it, and then started adding friends (and accepting friend requests) - and so when people would comment me, I would send them a genuine comment back, and then try to mention MyLot and include my referral link. (Such as: "Thanks for the add! How have you been lately? By the way.. Have you heard of MyLot..?) It seemed to work for at least a couple of referrals. And you can also post your payment proof (once you get some) in a blog and put the referral link with that, too. Those are some ideas.

Good to know. I was going to post my link on my wall for my friends thinking this wasn't that bad. After all, they could just choose to ignore my note if they wanted to. Does facebook look down on this as well? Last night I added my link to a couple of group walls. Maybe I should remove them. I would hate to have my account blocked. Thanks for the heads up.

I think joining in social websites will do you help or you can tell about mylot with your friends or relatives or you can promote it in your blog. You can also try microworkers because Iam seeing jobs regarding joining of mylot regularly.. You can try it if you want All the best

I a member of facebook so I hope to be able to utilize this to help me. Again, I am not sure really how to do this. Should I just make friends and then send them my link. Or should I join special groups and do likewise. Should I post on group walls? I was just wondering what has worked for others. Do you have any active referrals that you have gained by the methods you mentioned? I am not sure what you mean by microworkers. I am sorry about all the questions. I guess you can tell I am knew with all this.

Microworkers is a site where you pay people for doing small jobs like viewing ur blog, follow u on twitter, sign under you in mylot etc.. and you also get paid for doing small jobs. However bux sites are not allowed. When you create an account you will be given $2 bonus.Using that money you can ask people to join mylot under you and well you can pay them accordingly. Once check it you will understand

Hi there, well i have two referrals here and i dont really know where did they got my referral link but sad to say that they are here for more than a month already and they do nothing here just sign up . Its really sad because if they just active here 2 referrals is enough for me to earn good here in mylot (that was i thought) Anyway, what i do now to have referrals not only here in mylot but in all my earning sites was published my referral links in my blog. Just created a blog and i do post there, sometimes i also invited friends from other social networking sites, recently i joined a traffic exchange and i guess its a good way to have referral links, well goodluck to you welcome here and keep on mylotting

For the mean time I suggest you to try and refer your friends first if you know their email addresses.

I am recommending mylot to those I am close with, but I feel funny emailing those I don't know that well or haven't seen in years. I don't want to come across as a pest. Even if my closer friends join, it doesn't mean they will be good active referrals I can count on.

I haven't really had any referrals on mylot yet. It is hard to convince people, especially not much of my friends spend a great deal of their online. So, they'd be generally uninterested with joining. But i'd be keeping my eye on this thread to see any strategies that I might be able to use and probably increase my referral earnings!

I agree. It's difficult promoting the site up to the point of hard-selling it. By then, most people would be discouraged into joining because it creates a doubt in their mind because maybe you are just using them to gain additional funds or earnings. So, if you can't get active referrals then better maximize your activity here to boost your earnings.

I notice that not too many people talk about their referrals so I am getting the idea it very difficult to achieve. I think mylot is a great site, but it is hard convincing people because they think the only reason you are promoting it is because you stand to get some money from it. There are so many scams out there that people are suspicious. I am still going to try though.

ORKUT is the best option to get huge refferal from it

Is ORKUT a social networking site? At any rate, when I get a chance I am going to check it out. I am getting some pretty good recommendations from you guys which I really appreciate. I would have thought facebook a better method since most people seem to be on it, but maybe that's the problem. It's too difficult to narrow down the group of people we are looking for. I still wouldn't think a little recommendation of mylot on my wall would be too bad, would you think? Anyhow, take care!

i think joining in to social network sites will help you to promote mylot and give them your referral link ., plus if you got friends you think that is interested in blogging ., you may try to invite them and join under you ., have a nice day ahead!

Is this how you have gotten your referrals? Do you think facebook is a good site to promote mylot or do you think I should join some others as well?

I don't have any active referral, I only told 2 or 3 of my friends, and they barely come here, i guess they've totally forgotten about this place. And I put a link on my blog, and got a few referral, not active either. I don't know how to get one and keep him/her active.
