I am thinking of trying out one of the four paragraph tasks but am not sure if it is worth it. I mean if I write a good review is there a good chance it will get accepted or is it merely a matter of opinion. Can even good articles get rejected? Have any of you written decent articles that have been rejected? I know if the article is terrible of course it won't be accepted, but with a payout of a dollar I want to make I am making good use of my time. With doing the research and writing the draft and then the final submission it can take quite some time.

If it is for Sharon Bucks if you write a good four paragraphs you will get accepted i have done a number of them for her, and all have been accepted, but one. Just make sure everything is in your own words, and not copied from anywhere, and the punctuation is right. If she finds something minor about what you wrote, you will get the chance to fix it. I did one of the 500 word ones and i was short some words,I think that i only wrote like 480, and i had miss spelled a few words, I was given the chance to add more words, and fix my spelling and re submit. and i got paid when i fixed it.
On the one that was totally rejected, their was too much wrong with it.

Great comment. It is good to know that Sharon Bucks is reliable and that if you are rejected for a task it is for a good reason. I have already learned that some people who list these tasks are not as trustworthy as others, so this information helps a lot. Before getting involved in anything seriously, I always look for other people's recommendations and experience. That's how I ended up joining mylot in the first place. I've only been on here for a week now, but I really like it. I am learning a lot.

Sounds like it involves a lot of effort in an attempt that may or may not get accepted. I don't mind putting the work in, but I hate to waste a couple of hours for nothing. Especially when I could be responding to other discussions on here. I was just hoping to maximize my earnings on here like we all are. Thanks for the input.

I've been doing the writing tasks since the tasks feature was created. I really enjoy them and I haven't had any rejections. If I can offer some thoughts, based on my experience with the process, here's what I'd suggest...
- Make sure you read the requirements each and every time. Sometimes they vary (i.e., occasionally we will be asked to title our article when it's generally not requested, or one particular task creator asks for two different introductory paragraphs for the same piece.) It's important to follow what's asked in order to increase your likelihood of approval.
- Never (ever! LOL) write in the first person. I'm concerned when I see people viewing the writing tasks as reviews, simply because reviews are generally first-person material. View these tasks as web content... this means that it has to be informational and factual (where appropriate). If you go to a website to gain information on a subject, chances are you're looking for specifics and not someone's limited personal scope.
- Make sure to incorporate the keywords. Sometimes, a task will only state a topic so, if that's the case, you can write anything you like about it. If there is a topic plus keywords, make sure to include at least some of the keywords in a relevant way.
Now having said that... LOL... I generally only do the writing tasks posted by SharonBucks. I know there are others but I have had very good experience with SharonBucks tasks so I try to stick to those. Not sure if this is helpful but if I can contribute anything further, just comment back and I'd be happy to! Good luck with your tasks... once you get a couple under your belt, they become easier

Thanks so much. That helps me a lot. I figured you needed to speak about the particular company mentioned throughout, but you can actually just start out with a general description of the item and the positives that go along with it. That provides a clearer picture. I hate to bother you, but since you seem to know so much about this, what about the whole copying and pasting issue? I notice that in these tasks they recommend you type the article using your own word processing software and then copy and paste it into the form. I thought that newbies like me weren't allowed to copy and paste. If I simply type my article into the form, will I be at a disadvantage? I mean, I won't be able to do edit the font size or color-things that would make the article stand out and look better. Do you think this matters? I'll understand if you don't know the answer to this, it's just I have been wondering about it. Thank you kindly for taking your time out and helping me.

Hi thinkingoutloud, Yesterday I decided to bite the bullet and make my first attempt. I thought it would probably take a couple days for me to get a response, but luckily today I have been notified that it was accepted! I am so happy because I wasn't sure I was writing what Sharon Bucks would be interested in. Your advice and the advice of others on here gave me the motivation to try. Thanks again!

Hello sandi...
First of all, congratulations on your first task that got accepted Well, I hope the 2 tasks that I submitted this afternoon will end up the same. It was a first for me, too. And it was quite a challenge. Especially when I really tried to stick to the strict rules. I kept looking back to the instructions so I won't skip anything.
The good thing about these 4-paragraph tasks, is that you learn something new as you search for the needed information.
Just like with the topic I accepted. Natural Massage Supplies. As I did a little digging, I learned something about these supplies and what works best. It was a "Did you know..." moment for me.

Doing these kinds of assignments is definitely a good learning experience. And I agree with you it is a challenge. If you only could just write on the given topic it would be fine. But you have to incorporate many of those keywords. It takes a little bit of written maneuvering. How long does it take you? I wish I could get these done in under an hour but it just isn't possible. Maybe with lots of practice. Thanks for your well wishes. Congratulations to you on getting two done submitted today. I hope you get quick acceptances. Good luck!

Hello again sandi..
I just wanted to share with you my 2 very good morning news!It was truly a good morning news for me, for the moment I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was my laptop beside me. Last night, I failed to turn it off, for I just nodded off to sleep. And this morning, with still one eye closed, the first thing I saw in Mylot was I have 2 new messages.
When I opened it, it said the task creator have accepted my submitted tasks!!!Yippeee!!!
I wanted to accept more tasks as I wait for the approval of my pending submitted work. But, I wasn't that confident enough. True, I will be disappointed if they get rejected. Because I just wasted time and effort. But the greater disappointment for me is that I don't have what it takes to write an acceptable article.
For one task, it took me more than a couple of hours. But that was in between taking care of my baby daughter. She woke up several times. So I have to take care of her first. Actually, as of this moment, as I'm typing this response, I sit here with my left arm around her. She laughs at the way my right hand is doing.
I wanted to share my good news with you first. But now, I need to go. My daughter is starting to get bored just watching me type with one hand.

Congratulations on your task acceptances! I am so happy for you! I can totally relate to you being unsure of doing future assignments before getting your results. Unless you are an expert in the area you are writing about, it takes a bit of work. And there is no guarantee what we write will be what Sharon is looking for. Luckily the extra effort you put in paid off. It is not easy making money online, so I am always happy to hear about the successes of others. I have yet to try my second writing assignment. I have been trying my luck at the website review stream which allows you to write reviews on almost anything at all. They pay $2 at regular rate and 40 cents at bulk rate. This basically means that you have to write really long reviews to get the $2. They good pretty reputable. I'll let you know how I fare. I wrote three reviews for them. I am going to see how that plays out. Again, congratulations. That's so cute you holding your little baby daughter when writing this. Take care! :)

No I haven't. I've written a couple reviews but got them rejected because I broke one of the rules. I feel there are too many rules and that it is too hard to write a review that is four paragraphs. One time i wrote an article on some bandsaw and i talked about the bandsaw's website or rather, what I found on it and it turned out to be against the rules, and article got rejected.

My first task sumitted was accepted when the program was first launched. But since then, my experiences has been sad. But I notise the endeavors the site administration has been making, and the experience the co members have accumulated. Along with the development of the site, I hope I could make a bit progress as well. You have started a good post, which I will closely follow.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad luck. But don't give up. Many people on Mylot act like these tasks are super easy, but they are not. You need to do the research and then make your plan of attack. Find your angle. And without knowing if that angle will be what the task supervisor will like. My attitude is to just try to do the best you can. I give myself enough time to do the job I am satisfied with. Not to rush through and see if it makes it. If it's been a while since your last go, I'd try again. It feels good to get your articles accepted. I hope that helps. Nice meeting you!
