how long do you work a day?

I work in an office in shanghai,from 9am to 5pm,I work 8 hours a day,I feel unromantic sometimes,only on weekdays may I go out for shopping and playing.But there will be an important festival in october:National Day and mid-autumn festival,we will have 8 days then,I can have a good rest and go out for picnic and others happily.I expect it comes soon.what about you,my dear frinds?

thank you,mickly,I admire you student in campus,like in tower of ivory, no bother and worry,like in the sun.If possible,I want to go back to my student age.

I am from India and working in an organization with timings from 10 to 6 hours which also equals to total 8 hours a day. I also sometimes feel unromantic as the same routine job. I wish a job where I have to spend just 4 hours a day and that too for just 4 days in a week so that I can enjoy my personal life too. Its hard to manage both in my current job profile.

all day. as long as i am awake i am working. no time for play. Part of the day I leave the house to go to a job i have, and the other part of the day I work for myself at home. I sleep for a few hours, and start it over again. I don't go out anywhere.

i work in my office from 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM and than i have to do my own work for my personal website thats entertainment portal.i have to do this every day or atleast once in a week.
i dont get time to play or roaming around etc.
i want to get free time for my self. at the end of every month their is very hactic schedule in office with no time limit i have to work for 15 to 18 hour a day in these days.
in a month on an average i get only one day for my self & for my personal work.

Well i am from the UK and i work 8am to 5.30pm for 5 days a week and then on a Saturday i work 8.30am to 12.30pm. So i do work quite long hours and my job is quite stressful. Luckily i am on maternity leave at the moment so when i return to work i wont be doing such long hours because of my daughter, its important for me to be able to spend time with her. I think i will probably reduce those hours by 50% at least.
