How often do you drive?

There was a time when I used to drive without any reason, but gradually this has decreased considerably as I became conscious of the money being spent unncessarily. Nowadays, I drive only when I have to and other modes of transportation is hard to get.

I have a motorbike only and I have to ride it all the day whenever needed as my business demands.Approximately I drive some 40 kilometers a day within my town and I don't ride long out of the town.Actually I was dreaming to own a car but the present petrol price and the car prices have made me to stay comfortable with my bike.Cheers!

I think its beeter to avoid spending more money on petrol and vehicles. I think your work necessiates the use of a vehicle for field work, so it is better to use it where travel by foot would be difficult and reduce expense on petrol. Thanks for the post.

Yes!I have to travel by a bike for the field work in my business.Without a bike I can't reach all the places in time.Since I maintain my business single handed,I have to present myself in every aspects of my business. So,I have to spend a lot for petrol which is unavoidable for the time being.Cheers!

I usually drive motorcycle on my daily activities. But since i'm working, i don't need to driving because my company has preparing drivers for the employees. So, i only drive when i'm not on working schedule. Recently the gas price is getting higher and higher. It's very expensive now so i think we shouldn't spend much gas for unnecessary purposes. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

A very sensible thing to do, dianmelydia. The company's offer to pick-up and drop their employees is a great initiative and will reduce the demand for petrol and its products. Also, it will relieve the tension associated with driving for a long time. I have seen most big companies, using company buses to pick up and drop their employees at convenient locations near their home to avoid hardship. Thanks for the post.

We have one car at home. My father takes it to work. When he is back in the evening, I take it out for a spin in night with my friends from the neighbourhood. On weekends, whenever we go out, if we go out then I do the driving, since during whole week my father himself used to drive. So this way I get a chance to drive.

By driving frequently you're cutting down on a possible exercise. I think a better way to go out with friends would be to peddlea cycle, as it offers much more options to traverse and you could try a lot of things on it than just drive around the city burning oil.

In some cases, driving becomes a necessity as places like work, shopping, and school are far from home. Therefore driving becomes necessary, but on weekends for example, I think it would be better to walk or cycle to give your body the required exercise. Thanks for posting patogold.

Just like how I used to, but not anymore. I am more conscious about my health and money and so try to minimize my travel by vehicle. Hope you're enjoying your drives. In India its a pain to drive around in the dense traffic.

When i was younger and had no responsibilites i loved to just go out and drive around for the sake of it, i loved the freedom and independance that being in the car gave me. But now i have a family i dont get to do that, i do go out in the car everyday but its to go to the shops to buy food and things as there arent really any shops in the little village that i live in. I used to spend around £300 on petrol a month, but now i spend around £90 a month, my car has done some serious miles, its 10 years old and has done 117,000 miles

A very sensible thing to do. I do wish all of us do this more frequently, as this would reduce pollution and keep the environment clean. Also, the demand for petroleum products would decrease bringng down expenses. Thanks for the post.

I need to drive to work so it's unavoidable. There's no way I can cycle or walk since it's around 18 km from my house. Buses are the only public transportation in the area but it's not something you can rely on. In fact, never rely on them at all! Apart from driving to work, I only go out when I really need to like weekly shopping and fetch my sister from school. I don't really like to drive but it's not really a choice.
